Grecian Windflower

Today I designed a card using Susan's Garden Notes Grecian Windflower and Gathering Basket die sets.

This is a 6-inch square card.  A piece of design paper, from my stash, was distressed around the edges and added to the front of the card.

Susan's Garden Notes Gathering Basket die set was used for the container. It was die cut twice and the two pieces glued together for strength.   It was colored then added to the bottom of the card, putting two layers of dimensional foam pads in the center, then glued around the sides and bottom of the basket.  The sides were pushed in to give the basket a rounded shape and held until they were glued down.  A gray marker was used to shade around the bottom of the basket.

Susan's Garden Notes Grecian Wildflower die set was used to create the flowers.

I looked at the above picture I found on Pinterest to see a close up view of the Grecian Windflower.  The flower petals and leaves were shaped using Susan's Flower Tool Kit.  Two layers of petals were glued together then two stamens were used for each flower.  The points of the stamen were cut in half with Tonic fine tipped scissors.  Pollen was added to the tips of the yellow stamens. The stamen was cupped using the medium stylus from the Tool Kit.   Light green pollen was added to the very center of the stamen.  The stems for the flowers were glued on,  coming up from inside the basket.  The flowers were added,  then the flower leaves.

Blue Nuvo Crystal Drops were added for embellishment around the top of the bouquet.

A sentiment from the Tonic Monthly Craft Kit 24 was used.

This card can be mailed in a clear acrylic box, linked below.
