In All Things of Nature

Today I have a card I had so much fun creating.  I used the Oxide Distress Ink Pads to create a background. There are many Videos showing how to create backgrounds using the Oxide Ink Pads.  I used half a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock to creat this background so I
To decorate the card, two black branches were die cut using the ModaScrape Leafy 5 die set.  They were arranged on the right side of the card.

Susan's All Things of Nature stamp set was used for the sentiment.  It was stamped onto a piece of the background paper I created, then die cut using one of the Stitched Fishtail Banner dies.  Another slightly larger Fishtail black banner was die cut and layered under the sentiment.  I created a Ladybug using Nuvo Crystal Drops and added it to the end of the sentiment.

A black butterfly was die cut using the Dancing Butterflies die set.

This was a quick and easy card to create.  Hope you will give it a try.

Spring Daffodils

My card today is inspired by all the beautiful daffodils blooming now that we have nicer weather.

This is a 6-inch square card with a piece of design paper attached to the front.

I used Susan's Garden Notes Daffodil die set to create a bouquet of five daffodils.   Susan's Garden Notes Daffodil YouTube will give you instructions on assembling this flower.   For foliage behind the flowers, four ModaScrap Pair of Leaves 1 die cuts were used.  These were die cut using the Soft Finish Olive Twist Cardstock.

Two Fishtails were die cut using the Stitched Fishtails die set.  They were layered in the center of the card and the Daffodils were arranged on top, leaving room for the sentiment.  The Sentiment is one of the dies in the A Way With Words 4-Seasons die set.  It was die cut using Black Soft Finish Cardstock.

To finish the card, one butterfly was die cut using the Dancing Butterflies die set and attached to the upper left corner then a small bow added to the base of the flowers.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Those Who Find a Faithful Friend

A faithful friend is definitely a treasure!  I love this beautiful sentiment combined with the A Way With Words - Friends die cut.  I have designed a 6 inch card.  A piece of design paper was cut 5 1/2 inches square and attached to a white card.

Friends - Metal Cutting Die

Use the A Way With Words Friends die to die cut one yellow 'Friends'.

Always Be My Friend, Set of 3 Stamps - Mounted

Use the Always Be My Friend stamp set and stamp 'Those who find a faithful friend have found a treasure' onto white card stock using black VersaFine Ink.  Die cut the stamped sentiment using a Dotted Scallop die.

Use rectangle dies to create a frame.  I used the Dotted Scallop Rectangles, Stitched Rectangle and Postage Stamp Rectangle die sets.  Attach the stamped sentiment square on the right side of this rectangle frame.

I wanted to duplicate the flowers, in the design paper, to go beside the sentiment.  I used Susan's Garden Notes Poppy die set, Garden Notes Lilac die set for the blue flowers , and Joset Designs Behive die set for the yellow flowers.  The leaves were die cut using the ModaScrape Leafy Branch 4 and Leafy Branch 6 die sets.  These dies are from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Miss You

Good Morning.  Today I designed this card for my Elizabeth Craft Designs, color design team blog post.

This cute bird is wanting to let someone know they are missed.  Three different Krista Schneider stamp sets and matching dies were used to create this card.

Start with a 6-inch card and attach a 5 1/2 inch square of design paper to the front.  Using the Feather Friends Clear Stamp Set, stamp the bird and two (purple) flowers.  Color with markers.  Die cut using the matching die set.

Use the Honey Bear Clear Stamp Set to stamp the butterflies.  Color and die cut using the matching die set.  Use the Teddy Bear Picnic Stamp Set to stamp the three flowers at the end of the branch the bird is sitting on.  Color and die cut with the matching die set.

Use the Stitched Fishtail die set to die cut one Fishtail.  I used Vanilla Cardstock.  Use the Dotted Scallop Circle Die Set to die cut one circle the width of the Fishtail.  I used Pink Cardstock.

Use the Entwined Circle Die Set to die cut the smallest Entwined Circle.  I used Vanilla Cardstock.  Attach the die cut circles to the Fishtail, as shown.  Attach the Feathered Friends Bird on the Branch to the lower portion of the die cut circles, as shown.  Attach the three small flowers at the end of the branch.

Attach the two purple flowers from the Feathered Friends stamp set to the lower right corner.  Attach the Butterflies from the Honey Bear Stamp Set as shown.   Use the General Sentiments stamp set and VersaFine Black Ink to stamp the sentiment.

I think this card would put a smile on someone's face when they realize someone is missing them.
