This is my card for the challenge at Joan's Gardens that should have posted last Thursday.
It's time for a new Challenge at Joan's Gardens. Are you ready to think snow??? We thought we would get you started working on your Christmas cards early. Please go over to Joan's Gardens to see all the rules about this week's challenge.
For my card I started with a background that was embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder to resemble snow. I love the new Marianne Design Tree. It is large and has lots of embossed areas to give it lots of dimension. I used a light green Distress Ink around the edges of it to help make it stand out a little on this all white card. It was attached with dimensional dots. The sleigh and reindeer are also from Marianne Design. I used some gray ink to sponge around the outside edges of the sleigh and brown ink around the reindeer. Before attaching the sleigh and deer, I cut several pieces of card stock to use along the bottom of the card to look like snow on the ground. The snowflake is also from Marianne design. Diamond Glitter was added to give the card lots of sparkle. The frame around the card was punched using the Martha Stewart "Aspen Snowflake" border/corner punches.
I hope you will join us this week in our challenge. Be sure to go over to Joan's Gardens to check out all the challenge rules and see what the prize for this week will be.
