Sharri is the new hostess on StampTV for the Blast From the Past Challenge. For her first challenge she chose the Shaving Cream technique. I made this card for her challenge.
The two reinker colors used are Old Olive and Perfect Plum. I used ivory cs to dip into the shaving cream. It is so fun to swirl the ink around in the shaving cream and see what you come out with. If you haven't done this technique before, be sure to view Gina's Shaving Cream video. You can read about the challenge here.
I used Nina B's Lovely Labels stamp set for the frame, available from Gina K Designs. It was stamped using Old Olive ink. The verse is from the same set. I created the flower with Perfect Plum cs and the Nestabilities (Daisy Heads) flower dies. I cut out 10 flowers to create the 3-D effect. It is put together with a black brad. In the center is a black Sizzix snow flake. A Martha Stewart punch was used for the butterfly. Some small plum colored pearls were added to complete the card.
Thanks for stopping by.

One of my favorite color combos! I must really be behind the times, first I've heard of this technique. Will check it out.

Just beautiful, I haven't done any shaving cream in years, may have to try it again. Very pretty, lovely flower and I think I need that butterfly punch tomorrow at Michaels.
