Lovel Labels Birthday Wishes

Here is my second card made for Gina K's Guest Designer Challenge.  I used the Lovely Labels stamp set.  This is such a great set to make a quick, beautiful card. The colors used  from Gina's Spring Assortment Pure Luxury Card Stock colors are Ocean Mist and Lemon Drop.    To start my card I used the Cuttlebug Moroccan  Screen embossing folder on the top portion of the background.  Doesn't that embossing match the design in the stamped background really well!  For the bottom portion of that card I used my ScorPal to score diagonal lines to give that piece more texture.  I lightly sponged on some matching ink to bring out the embossing.  Some diamond shape turquoise rhinestones were added at each corner.

The label was embossed with super fine black embossing powder I purchased by Gina K Designs.  I love this embossing powder because it allows very fine detail to show through.  The label was cut out with the matching Nestability.  I needed to add a second color from the new Spring collection so decided on Lemon Drop cs.  I cut the next size up Nestie Label but I felt it was a little too much border showing.  I decided if I pierced around the outside it brought the two labels together better.  The flower design in the label was colored with a lemon Copic marker.  Portions of each flower were highlighted using a chalk pencil.  I also used the chalk pencil to add some yellow around the inside  of the circle.  The label layers were put together using dimensional tape and attached to the background.  A small bow was made using some of Gina's grosgrain ribbon and was added to the corner.

I have one more card I will be posting for this challenge using the Spring Florals stamp set.
