You're Cool

This month the theme for the design team is Christmas Fun with Character Dies.  The Elizabeth Craft Design team is challenged to make a Christmas card using the new Joset Designs Character dies that were released this month.  You can view all the cards on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog at this LINK.

It was a hard decision on which character die to use today --all the Christmas Character die sets are so cute.  For this card, I chose to use the Polar Bear die set.  One of the other new die sets is the Igloo.

This is a 6-inch square card.  A piece of white card stock, cut 5 1/2 inches square was used to create an opening for the mountain scene.  Use the Garden Notes Frame It/Stitched Circle die to create the opening.  Tape down the die in the center of the square.  Place the end of the cutting pad so it covers only 3/4 of the die.  When run through the die cutting machine, it will only cut a partial circle.  Use scissors to cut a straight line across the bottom of the circle.

From the Ski die set use and the mountain die to die cut the mountains, using white card stock.  Attach this die cut to the back of the half circle opening.  Attach this panel to a piece of dark blue card stock, using dimensional tape.  This leaves a little space between the mountains and the sky. Attach this panel to the front of the card

Use the new Polar Bear die set and create the bear.  Shade the bear using Antique Linen Distress Ink.

Use the Reindeer die set and die cut two snow banks.  Off set the snow banks and attach to the bottom of the card.

Use the Igloo die set and die cut one Igloo and glue the pieces together.

Attach the bear and igloo as shown.

Use the Cute Winter Sentiments stamp set and stamp the sentiment.  Die cut using the Stitched Banner die set.  Attach to the card as shown.

For the small snowflakes, use the Christmas Tree die set.  The second largest die for the tree has small snowflakes in the die cut.  Die cut this piece and use the snowflakes on the front of the card, as shown.

To add glitter to the mountains and snow bank, add a little glue and sprinkle on Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter.  Once dry, polish the glitter with your fingers.
