Berry Basket

Today I have a card that could be used for the holidays or really any occasion.

The inside brown frame measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches.  You can adjust the actual size of the card depending on the background you want for your card.

To begin, use the Garden Notes Leafy Berry Branch to die cut 5 branches.  Use Nuvo Crystal Drops to create the red berries.  Allow the berries to dry while you are working on the rest of the card, or even overnight.  Once the berries are dry, shape the little leaves using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Fine Pointed Tweezers - place the tweezers on the end of the leaf and pinch up. This will give the branch a more realistic appearance.

Use the Garden Notes Frame It/Stitched Rectangles die set to die cut the brown frame.  Use the largest and #3 die.  Place the smaller frame, centered, in the larger frame and die cut.  Use the largest Stitched Rectangle die to die cut a piece of the ModaScrap Wood Effects design paper.  Use Dimensional tape on the back of the frame and attach over the wood panel.  Use Gold Border Peel Off Stickers to go around the outside edge of the frame.

Use the Joset Designs Spring Basket die set and die cut two baskets.  Use white card stock.
Glue the two baskets together for strength.  Sponge on Tea Dye Distress Ink then sponge Walnut Distress ink around the edges.  In the 1034 package of Corners and Borders, there are corner stickers.  In the corner design there are little gold circles (dots) that you can use to decorate the front of the basket.  Attach the basket to the bottom of the brown frame, using dimensional tape, leaving the top portion open so you can tuck the berry branches in.

When the berries are dry on the leafy berry branch, cut the branches apart and insert them in the basket, as shown.

This frame can be added to a larger Buttercream Soft Finish Cardstock.  The size will depend on the size you want your finished card.  The finished piece can then be added to the front of a brown card.
