Burgundy Flowers

GinaK did a video this week on how to do the Shaving Cream technique. This is such an easy way to make unique backgrounds for your cards. You can see this video on the main page of StampTV. The Technique Challenge this week was to make a card using this technique and this is the card I submitted. If you haven't checked out the daily challenges you should. You have a chance, in the random drawing, to win a stamp set worth up to $24.95.

I used a flower from the "Elegant Flowers" set from the Floral Frenzy Kit (from GinaK Designs). I used Baroque Burgundy and Old Olive markers to color the image. I used the same reinker colors in the shaving cream for the background. I used a heat gun to dry the cardstock well, then used the SU "French Script" background stamp and Baroque Burgundy ink to stamp over the background. (This color has been discontinued from SU.) The corners were die cut with a cuttlebug corner die. The flowers were framed using the Labels 4 Nestabilities. The cardstock used is Baroque Burgundy. Ribbon is from Michaels.
