I love working with Susan's rose dies. Today I have designed a Valentine card using her new Garden Notes Rose 3 die set.
This is a 6 inch square card. A piece of design paper was distressed around the edges for the background.
Using Garden Notes Rose 3 die set, die cut enough petals to create three roses and 3 rose buds. I used a bright pink cardstock and sponged on the bright Red PanPastels at the base of each petal. Assemble the flowers using Susan's Flower Tool Kit.
Use the Dandelion Fluff die set to die cut two Fluffs out of light tan card stock (or card stock to match background design paper.)
Use Garden Notes Ivy Vine die set to die cut 2 ivy vines. Cut this apart to tuck behind rose arrangement.
Die cut the largest Scalloped Heart using white card stock. Tape the Lace Heart in the center of the Scalloped Heart. Run the die through the machine to only die cut the lacy part of the Lace Heart. To do this, place the edge of the top plate over only the lacy part of the heart, and run through the die cutting machine. Back the lacy part of the small heart with bright pink card stock. Attach the die cut heart in the center of the card, as shown.
Use the Dancing Butterfly die set to die cut the butterfly facing to the right. I used a light lavender card stock. Use the Love Sentiments die set to die cut "Love". Assemble the card as shown in the photo.
