Something new and fun! Today the Elizabeth Craft Designs Die Cutting Team is participating in a Die Cutting Challenge. Our theme today is "From The Heart". We are to create a card or project incorporating any of the new Heart Die Sets.
I have decided to go with the traditional red and white theme to create a Valentine, however this card used be used for other occasions.
Start with a 6 inch square card. Cut a piece of white card stock 5 3/4 inch square and score along the outside edges, using a scoreboad, to give this piece a finished appearance. Attach to the front of the card.
Use the new Stitched Hearts die set to die cut the largest heart, using white card stock. Use the new Scalloped Hearts die set to cut a red heart to fit inside the white one. Attach the hearts together and glue to the center of the card.
Die cut the birds using the Love Birds die set; die cut it using white card stock. If you use a piece of Clear Double Sided Adhesive on the back of the card stock, it is much easier to attach to the red heart, but you can use glue if you prefer.
Die cut Love using the new Love Sentiments die set, and attach it to the upper left side of the red heart.
To finish the card, use the Els van de Burgt Corners 1 die set and die cut four red corners.
This card can be enclosed in a regular 6 inch square envelope.
Be sure to go over to the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog to view all the other cards/projects created for this challenge.
