Joan's Weekly Challenge

It is time for a new challenge at Joan's Gardens.

My card is 5.5" x 6"   I used one of the Marianne Design cut and emboss folders for my background.  I love to use any of my Marianne Design embossing folders because they are so beautiful and very different from any other type of embossing folders.  In the center of the embossed area, I used two small Spellbinders "petite oval" Nestabilities to cut a window in the embossed panel and also the pink panel attached behind it.  The sentiment is from the JustRite "Your Special Day Medallion Labels" stamp set.  It is the perfect sentiment to send to someone to brighten their day or someone you just wanted to get caught up with.

The flower was created using the Cheery Lynn "Stacker Flower #6" flower.  I used three of the flowers; one was left white (on the bottom) and the other two were sponged with "Spun Sugar" Distress Ink.  The stamen in the center are a lot (8 or 9) of the larger stamens from the Cheery Lynn "Build A Flower #1" set.  The petals of the flower were shaped with the tools from the Flower Tool Kit.  I used the self-closing tweezers to "crunch" up each petal of the flower.  Behind the flower I layered the Cheery Lynn "Mini Fanciful Flourish" and a couple  Marianne Design "Anji Leaves".

We hope you will join us this week for this easy challenge.
