Posy Thanks
I love this card and hope you do too. Yesterday I used DG3 Art Gel on the leaves I created and was anxious to use this art gel on a glass vase and flowers. It is so fun to work with.
The flowers I used are from the Heartfelt Creations Posy Patch Clusters Precut set (HCPC 3305); Posy Patch Flowers Precut set (HCPC 3305); matching Posy Patch Diecuts (HCD 701); the greeting is from the Swirly Autumn Leaves Precut set (HCPC 3328); the jar is from the Jean Pocket/Ball Can Precut set (HCPC 3307).
Two sets of the Posy Clusters and five single posies were stamped and colored with Prisma colored pencils and OMS. The clusters were cut out with scissors and the individual posies were cut out with matching dies. Love working with matching stamps and dies. I used a flower shaping tool (or you can use a pencil) to roll the petals to shape. MG3 Art Gel was applied to the middle of each flower and tiny beads added. I then added the art gel directly from the bottle to each of the petals. I also added some of the art gel to the clusters to shape the leaves and added very fine glitter. When the gel is dry it helps to hold the shape you have formed with the petals and leaves. I wish you could see how beautiful they look on the card -- the photo does not show off the beautiful finish the art gel gave them.
The jar was stamped with Memento ink. A Copic marker was used to tint the water in the jar. MG3 Art Gel was spread a little thick over the water in the jar. I was anxious for it to dry so used my heat gun to speed up drying. I was able to shape the jar a little so it looks rounded.
A Martha Stewart border was punched and added to the bottom of the card. Two large round dimensionals were added to the back of the jar and attached to the card. The two clusters of flowers were arranged above the jar then the extra posies attached with dimensionals. The greeting was stamped with Vivid brown ink, cut out with an oval Nestie and attached with dimensionals.
You can purchase DG3 Art Gel from Joan's Gardens.
I want to announce that there are still a few openings for Joan's October 16th workshop? Emma Lou Beechy, owner/designer from Heartfelt Creations, will be there with some wonderful projects for you. I'm sure this is a workshop you won't want to miss -- you can get all the information and register here.
Hope you are having a great weekend.

Selma,
Oh my gosh, this is a gorgeous card. The gel really brings out a look of water on the jar. The flowers just jump right out at you and the colors are beautiful.
Such a nice thank you card, anyone would treasure it if they were receiving it.
