Today I have some very exciting news. Several weeks ago I noticed someone new had commented on my blog. She said my work was beautiful. She had gone through my blog and was wowed by it all and would be back. Later that afternoon I noticed I had some "junk" mail and was going over to delete it but also noticed it was from the same person who had commented on my blog. Her name is Nina May. I am so happy I opened this file. In this lovely email she told me again how much she loved my work and asked if I would be interested in being on her design team.
Nina's blog is called "There's Magic In The Air". On Monday she features one of her digital stamps that can be downloaded for free, during the week it is featured. Her design team and guest designers will have cards made with this image on the both Nina's blog and on their personal blogs. Each week there is a contest with Blog candy given to one of the participants posting a card made with this design. The winner is chosen from a random drawing. Be sure to check out the image and contest info.
Up to this point I had not downloaded any digital images even though I realize it is becoming very popular. After talking with Nina, I decided to download and color one of her images to see what it was like to work with, and fell in love with the idea. I posted that card below on Oct 22 "Fall Harvest". I accepted Nina's offer to be on her design team. So on every Monday I will be posting a card made with the digital designs drawn by Nina. Thank you so much Nina for asking me to be on your Design Team. It is an honor to work with you and your beautiful digital images.
The card today was printed out and colored with Copic markers then cut out with Nestabilities. The scalloped oval is Garden Green CS. The background is embossed with the Cuttlebug Autumn embossing folder on Pumpkin Spice CS. All the words on this embossing folder go so well with this image. A striped piece of designer paper was added plus a scalloped rectangle out of chocolate chip CS. A design from the Nestability Fleur De Lis was added under the bow. The challenge this week is to use this image and buttons on your card. I had these cute leaf buttons which work well with the design.
Be sure to go over to "There's Magic In The Air" blog to get this free digital image and join in on the fun. I will look forward to seeing your entries. While you are there check out my other card as well as cards from all the other designers.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
