Have you been over to Elizabeth Craft Designs to see all the new Joset Designs dies and stamp set to create fabulous "Winter Themed" cards?
This card is designed using Joset's new Winter Sweater die sets. There are so many ways you can create totally different sweaters. I chose to add Clear Double Sided Adhesive to a piece of white card stock and die cut the sweater, with the die on the release side of the card stock, so I could add glitter. To create a three toned sweater, I peeled down the top portion of the release sheet and poured on Lavender Silk Microfine Glitter. Next I pulled down just a little further on the release paper to create a narrow strip in the center, and poured on Lavender Ice Silk Microfine Glitter. For the bottom of the sweater, I used Bright Grape Silk Microfine Glitter. All the glitter was rubbed in well with my fingers to give it a very glittery finish. The die cut for the collar, cuffs and bottom of the sweater were die cut, using the Clear Double Sided Adhesive on the card stock, and Cool Diamond Microfine Glitter added. The white pieces were glued in place on the sweater. The snowflake in this set was die cut using just plain white card stock and was attached on the top portion of the sweater. I wanted some definition between the different glitters, so I die cut several of the Els van de Burgt Studio Chains 1 using white card stock. Small pieces of the Chain was cut and glued on to define the stripped look.
This is a 6x6 inch card. A white piece of card stock was cut slightly smaller and scored along the edges. For the background on this piece, I stamped the snowflake, from Joset's Winter Sentiments stamp set, using a light purple ink.
For the frames, I used Els van de Burgt Studio Dotted Scallop Oval dies to die cut two sizes of ovals using purple card stock for the largest, and white card stock for the smaller frame. For the dark purple frame, I used the Fitted Frames 4 Curvy Ovals die set. There is dimensional tape between the ovals to give them dimension.
At the top of the white oval, I used one of the stamps from Joset's new Winter Sentiments clear stamp set. The sweater was attached with dimensional tape on the oval frame. To complete the card, purple rhinestones were added to the corners of the card, and one added to the center of the snowflake on the sweater.
I am sure you would have fun creating a winter sweater or how about creating a sweater with a school's letter or mascot!
