It has been a cold wet day outside, so it was a perfect day to create another Christmas card. Today I used one of the Ornament Set 3 Christmas Ornaments. The design part and the bow was die cut using Silver Metallic Shimmer Sheetz. It was backed with Clear Double Sided Adhesive so it could be placed over the (red) solid ornament. For the solid ornament, I added a piece of Clear Double Sided Adhesive to the front of white card stock and die cut it. The silver design was attached over the solid ornament. The adhesive was pulled off just the small dots in the center of the ornament and Forest Green Silk Micro Fine Glitter was added. Once that was rubbed in well, the adhesive covering on the the rest of the ornament was removed and sprinkled with True Red Silk Microfine Glitter. Again it was rubbed well to bring out the shine.
To create the frame for the ornament, a red frame was cut and over it is one of the die cut Fitted Frames 3 Curvy Rectangles. A red Dot peel-off sticker was placed on each corner. The red and green frames were attached to a different piece of design paper and attached to the card front. The ornament was attached with glue inside the frame.
A red poinsettia was created using Susan's Garden Notes Poinsettia dies. It was shaped using Susan's Flower Tool Kit. Ten Susan's Garden Notes Whitepine Bough were die cut, shaped and glued to the corner of the frame. One die cut Berry Branch was added over the pine boughs. The red berries were created using Viva Paper Pen. The poinsettia was attached using a dimensional glue dot.
To finish the card, a Merry Christmas Peel-off sticker sentiment was added below the ornament and Silver Peel-off line stickers were placed around the two frame edges and around the edge of the large piece of design paper.
