Evergreen Pivot Card

Do you like to create cards with an element of surprise?  Today I created a pivot card using Karen Burniston's Evergreen Pivot Card.  And of course, being on Susan's Design Team, I used Susan's dies to decorate it.  I love the dimension the Pivot Card gave to die cuts from Susan's die collection.

Instead of using the tree dies that come with this pivot card set, I used Susan's CountryScapes Woods 4 Holiday Evergreen die.  I layered three of the tree die cuts on each of the pivot evergreens.  You will see in the bottom picture, there are two more evergreens that pivot on the inside of the card.  Another CountryScapes Evergreen was die cut and added to the bottom right of the front.  Once the tree was glued down, I trimmed off some of the branches that hung over the edge of the card.    Several snow banks were cut out and placed at the bottom of the front of the card.

I love the deer in Susan's CountryScapes Critters 3 die set.  I colored the deer using Distress Inks.  The antlers are two branches from the CountryScapes Woods 1 die set.  To ground the deer, I used one of the snow pieces from the CountryScapes Backyard 4 Snow Decor die set.

For the sentiment, I used the Quietfire, A Way With Words,  Merry Christmas die.  I attached a piece of white card stock to a piece of Elizabeth Craft Transparent Double Sided Adhesive and die cut with the tape facing the die.  The liner was pulled off and Elizabeth Craft Solar Gold Silk Microfine Glitter was sprinkled on.  Once the die cut piece is covered with the glitter, you need to burnish it with your fingers to rub the glitter in and make it shine.

In the above picture, you can see how the evergreen pivots out.

This is a picture of the inside of the card.  You can see the three evergreens that pivot.  To get Susan's CountryScapes evergreen to fit, I cut the bottom potion off to fit the space.  A few of the side branches needed to be trimmed too.

The cute snowman is Susan's CountryScapes Build A Snowman.  Isn't he cute!  The sentiment I used is a Quietfire  stamp (not available from Elizabeth Craft Designs).
