JOY

Today I have another card created with the new Heartfelt Creations "Season of Joy" stamps The Sentiment and pretty Flourish are from the "Elegant Joy PreCut Set" (HCPC 3560).  The card stock I used does not show up as beautiful in the photo as it should; the color is a pearlized platinum, and I stamped using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder.

The poinsettias are all on one big stamp and you use the matching "Sun Kissed Fleur Die" to cut them out.  They were stamped with VersaMark Ink and White embossed on white Vellum.  The leaves were colored on the back with the DG3 Spectrum Noir marker.

 Christmas Poinsettia PreCut Set
You get all these flowers on the "Christmas Poinsettia PreCut Set" stamp, and when you use the matching die to die cut them, you have 10 flowers and two sets of leaves without much work. This is so much easier than having to die cut each flower individually.

The outside edge of the platinum card stock was distressed then a piece of Webster's Pages Trim added along the bottom.  Pearls were added to complete the card.

Tis' the season for fresh apples!  We love to go up to the orchards and get fresh fruit.  I am not the greatest at making a beautiful pie but made an apple pie this morning.  I have a recipe from America's Test Kitchen and you put Vodka in the crust (you don't even know it is in there) but it makes the crust so flaky and tender.   Apple pie for dessert tonight with a scoop of Tillamook, Carmel Pecan ice cream.  YUM!

Gorgeous card Selma! Pie and ice cream - YUM!
My Mother had a crooked thumb and hence could make beyond professional looking pie crusts - so much so that in her little restaurant, no one believed that she made the pies - LOL! Taste is everything, so her pies always went fast with people coming back for more - LOL!
