Heartfelt Creations January Release

Have you seen the beautiful new Heartfelt Creations Countryside Evening Collection?    I used my eBosser to die cut them and did use two pieces of wax paper between the card stock and the die.  I only had to run it through the eBosser one time for a perfect cut.

Included in this collection is a beautiful 12x12 inch pad of designer paper that matches all the stamps.  I used a corner of one of these sheets for my 6"x6" card.  First I used a piece of dark green card stock and die cut the smaller corner, as shown in Emma Lou's video. The number of the dies is HCD 729. The piece of designer paper was inserted under the corner.   I wanted to have a dimensional bird on this card so I stamped the image from the "Melodious Songbird PreCut Set" (HCPC 3511) and watercolored the image. The bird and a few of the flowers were cut out with scissors so I could add it over the design in the paper.  I used some of the petals from the Cheery Lynn Build A Flower #2 embellishments (the baby's breath flowers) to add some dimensional to the branch around the bird.  The sentiment is also from the "Melodious Songbird" stamp set.  It was black embossed.  Below is a close up picture of the dimensional bird.

Well this new year is not starting out very well for us.  Both my DH and I have been sick and both have had other things happen to us.  Today my daughter and I went to town and in the meantime we had freezing rain, resulting in black ice, and  we were in an auto accident out on the highway.  It is so scary hitting ice and flying back and forth across the highway. We are lucky in that we only got whiplash but the front of her car is totally messed up.  We are so thankful we didn't go down in a ditch or hit other cars - we hit the concrete highway divider, head on,  between lanes.   We were scared to death we were going to flip over it into oncoming traffic. I am hoping that all the bad things have ended.  What a way to start the new year!   Now off to rest and see if I can get rid of this headache.

Amazing card as always. What a terrible experience. Sounds as though you had a lucky escape but I'm sure you're now in shock. Take care. Surely thats enough bad things for the whole year. May the rest of 2013 be peaceful and serene.

So sorry to hear of your difficulties. That is no way to start a new year. Let's hope that you got all the bad stuff out of the way in January, so that the next 11 months will be healthy, pain-free, happy and creative.

Inspite of all this, you've been able to post a gorgeous card. It's delightful.

Take care; follow doctor's orders and get lots of rest.

Oh my word! I know you are more than thankful that you two are mostly okay... I know I am for you... it could've have been much worse. Bless your heart between the nasty cold and now this... you need to just take a week's vacation some where safe and warm!! But your card is gorgeous and I do love the new HC Countryside Evening collection... so much so that I did ALL my DT work plus extras for the entire month before January even hit.

Selma,

I am so sorry to hear so many bad things happening to such a good person. Sometimes that black cloud just hangs on, so yes hopefully it's moved on. I hope you are both going to be good and that the headache goes away quickly. I do see however that even in the bleak time you make beautiful cards. Keeping you in my prayers.
