Merry Christmas Poinsettia

Today I have some more new products from Joan's Gardens to show you.  The design paper is from the Graphic 45 "Nutcracker Sweet" paper pad.  The embellishment on the left side of the card is a new die from Spellbinders called "Diamond Strips and Accents" Shapeabilities.  I was excited to  see this die because I used to make "cut and tuck" designs like this by having to cut them out with a craft knife.  How much easier it is to do it with a die.  I taped the two dies, that create this shape, together on the card stock then die cut them.  You fold down the narrow strip and tuck it under the point below it.

The poinsettia is the new Poppy Stamp "Blooming Poinsettia".  This die has 3 sizes of petals, the leaf, and the stamen for the center.  I added  gold "Stickles" to the circles of the stamen. The foliage above it is the Memory Box Lorelai Leaf lined with the Lorelai Outline Leaf.  One die is solid leaves and the other is the same pattern but just an outline of the leaves.  I glued the two together and sponged them with distress ink.  Both these leaf die cuts will look great used alone.

Behind the poinsettia, I added the pretty Memory Box "Tiffany Frame" which is attached to the "Cherise Label".  The label gives a solid background to this delicate frame.  The background on the design paper is tan so I sponged "Tea Dye" Distress Ink" over this frame. The sentiment is used is from the JustRite "Large Fancy Holiday Sentiments" stamp set.  Isn't that a beautiful font!  To complete this card I attached some Kaiser Craft green pearls to the Diamond Strips and to the corners.
