Today I have another quick and easy Christmas card for you. This card only took three dies and one stamp. There are so many dies available from Joan's Gardens, that will work in any of the die cutting machines, that will help you make any style Christmas card whether it be really detailed or simple like this card.
This is a 5.5"x6" card. I first die cut the Memory Box "Country Landscape" using white card stock. The village was cut at the top of the card stock so I could cut it off at the bottom to fit where I wanted it. I love the beautiful script on this "Impression Obsession" Merry Christmas stamp. I used VersaFine black ink and clear embossed it. I like to use the black ink and clear embossing powder because I don't particularly like working with black embossing powder; I usually end up with some black specks even though I use the static pad first. The VersaFine ink stays wet long enough to emboss, but you don't have to emboss it if you don't want that look.
A piece of black card stock was cut and placed at the top of the card, then the "Country Landscape" was placed over it. To make it a wintry scene, I added the Memory Box "Frosty Border" across the top. To complete the card I die cut, and assembled the new Poppy Stamps "Blooming Poinsettia".
Hope you are having a great weekend. We don't have many entries in our challenge this week so I am hoping you have time to work on a card and enter it. We love to see your work. Someone will win a Savvy Die and then be entered in the drawing for the $100 gift certificate to Joan's Gardens. If you haven't read the challenge rules, please go over to Joan's Gardens and click on the link at the top of her blog.
