I have designed the card for this week's Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge. The challenge this week is pretty easy - it doesn't require much stamping. Here are the requirements:
- Use designer paper for your background
- Use no other stamping except for a sentiment and frame (such as a JustRite Stamp)
- Use all the embellishments you would like to use
- Use some kind of dimension on the card (such as a flower)
The designer paper I used is from Webster's Pages. It was sponged around the edges with a tan ink and attached to a 5.5 inch square ivory card. The Sentiment and Frame are from the new JustRite "The Greatest Joy" stamp set. The sentiment was cut out with a petite oval Nestie and sponged around the edges with pink ink. The frame was stamped and cut out with a large scallop Nestie. I used a marker to add dots around the edge of each scallop then sponged the edge with the same ink as I used on the edge of the designer paper. Each layer was attached with dimensional tape.
For something dimensional, I punched pink vellum flowers and sponged the edges with brown ink. The center of each larger flower has a small yellow vellum flower with a small pearl in the center. They are layered over the pink flowers in the design paper. The embellishments used are a pink bow, pink pearl flourishes and black pearls on the corners.
Please go over to Joan's Gardens Blog for all the details about the challenge and to link your card in the challenge. There will be a randomly drawn winner plus the winner will be eligible for the $100 gift certificate that will be awarded at the end of the year.
Something BIG is going to be happening at Joan's Gardens. Did you read the heads up announcement she gave you a few days ago? Here is the info she posted:
"I am giving you a heads up on something good that is coming soon. You are going to want to have in your hands a JustRite Stamp (and stamper). Don't get left out...be sure you have one!!! If you don't, you will want to order one. Believe me you don't want to miss this fun announcement coming soon? Remember, I only charge what it costs me to ship to you."

Here is the link to the "heads up" announcement. Last time we had a special event, some of you really wanted to participate but said you did not have the stamps required. We are letting you know in advance so you won't feel left out. Joan has just received a large shipment of JustRite stamps, so if you need a set, check them out on her blog.
