Three Drawer Box

I had a lot of fun making this cute box. Wouldn't it be perfect to give to a mom for Mother's Day.   Katie Renz created this box with drawers and has a tutorial on her blog here.  I followed her tutorial using my own ideas to decorate the box.  This week on Clearly Inspired Challenges,  sponsored by Clear Dollar Stamps, the challenge is to submit a project using flowers.  I am going to enter this box into that challenge here.

The dp is from a Martha Stewart paper pack.  Label One Nestabilities were cut for the top and the bottom.  There are three different sizes on the top.  A MS punch was used for the design under the silhouette.  This gorgeous  silhouette is from Webster's Pages "Life's Portrait Silhouette's"   purchased from Joan's Gardens.  A border was placed along the bottom edge of the box - also a MS punch.  Three of my vellum flowers were added (tutorial here) and a few punched leaves.  Small pearls were added in the center of the flowers.  SU Corduroy button brads were added for the drawer pulls.

This box looks very complicated but is really very easy.  Katie's tutorial is very easy to follow.  Hope you will give it a try.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a fun filled weekend.

Beautiful! I too love your velum flowers. I tried making my own, but they didn't seem to come out as good. I will have to keep practicing. Thanks for always sharing!

I'm not sure how you found my blog page but I'm glad you did because it led me to yours. I have looked at many of your posts and all of your cards and other projects are beautiful. Hope it is OK if I use some of the ideas.

Selma,

Oh my gosh, that box is so beautiful, and I know you said it wasn't complicated, but boy it looks it to me. I love the paper and I love the embellishments. It's just hard to believe it is made with card stock and DP.

Gorgeous card Selma.
