Vintage Santa

One of the things I have not done very much of is to make Vintage cards. However, I love Santa's and thought I would give this a try. The stamp and embellishments are BoBunny products. They are from Joan Fricker at Joan's Gardens. Joan always makes the most beautiful vintage type cards. The name of this stamp is "Dear Santa".

I started off by stamping the image with Memento black ink on Glossy CS. I used small sponge daubers and liquid chalk inks to color. A Chocolate Chip CS frame was cut with the Nestability Labels 5 die and placed over the image. A piece of ivory card stock was embossed with the Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder. I used a brayer to add ink to the flat side of the folder and inserted the card stock carefully on the bottom part of the embossing folder then ran it through the cuttlebug. I wanted a more antique look, so I sponged on Really Rust and Chocolate Chip inks around the edge of that piece prior to placing it on the card. A narrow piece of ribbon was adhered along the side of the Chocolate Chip frame. The Prima flower and leaves were added then a BoBunny Jewel added in the center. Three BoBunny buttons were threaded with some string then attached with glue dots.
