Glittered Lace Technique

I am having a lot of fun learning new things!  There are so many techniques to learn about on the Elizabeth Craft Designs YouTube videos. Today I watched the Technique Friday with Els - Silk Microfine Glitter Lace YouTube Video for inspiration to create this card.  Here is the LINK. This is a very easy technique that turns out so beautiful.

This card is so gorgeous in real life.  The photo does not pick up the beautiful sparkle in the glitters.  I used the Elizabeth Craft Black Soft Finish Cardstock for the base and completed the lace technique just like Els shows in her video, starting with the Black Silk Microfine Glitter over the lace.  I changed the second color for my card -- Els used Silver Silk Microfine Glitter and I used Turquoise Microfine Glitter. The color combination is gorgeous!

I die cut the A Way With Words Congratulations, using the black card stock.  I then glittered a piece of  turquoise card stock with the Turquoise glitter and attached the sentiment to it.  Around the edges of this frame, I added the Elizabeth Craft Designs Velvet Black Line Stickers.

To compliment the leaves in the lace, I used the Els van de Burgt Studio Leafy Branch to go around the sentiment. To create glittered leaves, Clear Double Sided Adhesive was attached to the card stock and the die placed on the adhesive side to die cut.  The leaves were covered with the Turquoise glitter.

The edges of the black card stock were lined with the Velvet Line Stickers.  To complete the card, Black Velvet Corner Stickers were added.  The black velvet stickers helped to create a very elegant glittered lace card!

The following products used can be purchased from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Soft Finish Cardstock - Black
626 Turquoise Silk Microfine Glitter
601 Black Silk Microfine Glitter
A Way With Words - Congratulations
