New Marianne Design Dies

I received a box of new goodies from Joan's Gardens yesterday and could hardly wait to play with these new Marianne Design Dies.  Joan does not have them on her site yet, but if you want to order them you can call or email her to get all the information.  She has been busy getting ready for the three workshops she will be teaching this weekend, but will have these products on her site early next week.

This card is 6" x 5 1/2".  The center die is the new Marianne (LR0213).  This is a die that does not cut out a doily but rather just die cuts a design into the card stock wherever you place it.  These new dies have beautiful roses embossed in them.  I have covered the roses up that are in the center of the large die cut but you can see them on the border along the bottom.  I wanted to frame that large die cut so I used the two largest Spellbinders "Labels 6" and cut a frame to go around it.  This frame is on dimensionals and because of the angle I took the picture, it does not look centered.  It was lightly sponged with lavender ink to help make it stand out.  Along the bottom of that same piece I die cut the new Marianne (LR0212) border.  I actually taped both the (LR0213) die and the (LR0212) border on the card stock and die cut and embossed both at the same time.  Be sure you tape them down with removable tape so they stay in place.  The thin strip around the very bottom of the border was cut snipped off.

It is kind of hard to see, but I added one of the new Spellbinders borders from the "Antique Frame & Accents) set (S5-083) just above the Marianne (LR0212) border.  I love every die in this set. The little roses were created with one of the dies in the new Spellbinders "Bitty Blossoms" (S5-086).  These are a spiral flower that you die cut then roll.  There are three sizes in that set.  Under the roses I placed one of the small Marianne Design (LR0156) leaves.   This set comes with two sizes of leaves and the smaller leaves are perfect for small flowers like these roses.  Under the rose in the center design, I placed one of the Cheery Lynn "Lace Corner Deco F" leaves (B166).  On each side of the roses along the border, I added a Marianne Design "Decorative Elegance" (LR0157) flourish.  Up on the top corners I die cut two of the Cheery Lynn "Lace Corner Deco E" (B165) corners.  The new Cheery Lynn corners come three different styles to a package.  To finish the card I added a lavender Kaiser Craft Pearl.

All these products can be purchased from Joan's Gardens.
