Joan's Gardens Tag Challenge #1

I am so excited about a new challenge at Joan's Gardens. In addition to the Thursday Challenges, she is  challenging you to start completing all the tags you will need for this new year. Every Tuesday, she invites you to post at least one tag that you may need throughout the year. The tag(s) can be for birthday, baby gifts, graduation, congratulations, Christmas or any other occasion you might need a tag for.   You can read all the details on her blog.

This tag was made using some of the flower punches that Joan sells.  The flower was made with the "Super Giant Begonia Petals" punch and a different punch used for stamens.  I love the "Paper Bouquet" book she sells because it has so many beautiful flowers that are very easy to make with punches.  The beautiful corner under the flower is the  Heartfelt Creations "Decorative Butterfly-Border Die" (Product ID: HCD 702). Punched and die cut leaves were added under the flower.   The paper used for my flower is a pearlized card stock.  It gives it a soft shimmer.  The tag was made using plum card stock and it was covered with  paper from the KaiserCraft "Lilac Avenue Collection" paper pad.  This pad includes some tags in it, which were perfect  to complete my tag.  I have some small stamps that I used for the "For You" and "To and From".  Yellow grosgrain ribbon was added to complete the tag.  This tag is going to be used for a special friend who has a birthday coming up and she loves purple.

I am going to love working on these tag challenges so I can get my tags made in advance.  I hope you will join us in the fun.

All the products I used on my card were purchased from Joan's Gardens.
