Hello Crafty Friends,
It has been a while since I have worked on creating cards. Recently I was gifted a set of Memory Box Magnolia dies and used them to create this card. The die sets I used from this collection include Curved Magnolia Branch, Magnolia Leaf Branch and Backyard Wren. This is a 6x6 inch card.
All the pieces were die cut using white card stock. Altenew inks were used to color them. Clear Crystal Glaze was brushed on the Magnolia leaves to give them a waxy appearance. The arrangement was attached to an embossed background that was die cut using a Notched Corner Frame Layering die.
The Butterfly was die cut from Pink Fresh Studio Fluttering Butterflies Washi Tape. The Washi Tape strip was attached to a piece of Vellum Paper to give the butterfly more delicate wings. The Memory Box Backyard Wren was die cut using white card stock and color sponged on the layering pieces before assembling it. A small black embellishment was added to the eye. The bird cage, from my stash, was die cut using gold metallic cardstock. The sentiment is from the Spellbinders BetterPress - A Little Message Sentiment Plate. Part of that sentiment was cut off because I only wanted the "thanks" sentiment.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
