Merry Christmas Pink & White Poinsettia

Poinsettia are always beautiful on Christmas cards.  I love creating these flowers with Susan's Garden Notes Poinsettia and Garden Notes Small Poinsettia die sets.  The A Way With Words Merry Christmas die set creates the gorgeous  sentiment.  Here is how the card was created:
This is a 6x6 inch card.  A light tan card stock was used for the background.  The edges were scored on a Scoring Board to create finished edges.

Using Susan's Garden Notes Poinsettia and Poinsetta -Small die sets, enough petals were die cut to create three flowers.  There are two of the large petal die cuts from the Poinsettia set, and two of the large petals set from the Small Poinsettia die set used for each flower.  Using the largest petal die from the (large) Poinsettia die set, six sets of petals were die cut to be used for the green leaves.

Use the Leaf Tool from Susan's Flower Tool Kit to draw the veins in each petal of all the die cuts.  Use Susan's Pan Pastels to color all pieces.  I used the light pink, with a little touch of the bright pink, on the flowers and the lime green with a touch of the pinks on the leaves.  Once the petals are all colored, shape them with the ball stylus.  If you are not familiar on how to shape the poinsettia, you can watch Susan's Garden Notes Poinsettia YouTube Video at this LINK.   After gluing the flowers/leaves together, add some of Susan's Prills, in the color of your choice, to the center of each flower.

Use the Garden Notes Whitepine Boughs & Pinecone die set to die cut four pine boughs.  Use white card stock that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive on top so you can add Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter to them.

Die cut the A Way With Words - Merry Christmas using white glossy card stock.  Attach to the card front as shown, then arrange the poinsettia across the middle on the diagonal.  Glue the pine boughs under the flowers.

To finish the card, add die cut snowflakes that have been die cut with Clear  Double Sided Adhesive on top, so you can add Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter.  Attach the snowflakes to fill in areas around the sentiment and flowers.

Christmas Joy

These little birds are enjoying the Christmas season.  Today I used the Joset Designs Birds die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs to create this cute Christmas card.
This is a 6x6 inch card.  For the background, use a piece of the Els van de Burgt Studio, Through The Lens Wood Series Card Stock.

Die cut two small Entwined Ovals and attach them  toward the top, centered, as shown. Die Cut a variety of evergreen branches.  I used Els van de Burgt Studio Sprig with Berries and the Garden Notes Whitepine Boughs & Pinecone die sets.  The branches were arranged at the bottom of the Entwined Oval.

Die cut the two Birds, using the Joset Designs Birds die set.  Sponge on color on the upper body and the wings.  Attach the wings and add a black Prill to the eye.

Use the Joset Designs Winter Sentiments stamp set to stamp Joy in the center of the Entwined Oval.  Use black ink to stamp, then brush glue on the inside of the word and sprinkle on Gold Glitter.  Add a Gold Christmas Peel Off Sticker above the stamped JOY.

Attach the birds with dimensional tape so they are below the stamped sentiment.

Make a gold bow using very fine cording, and attach under the birds.  Add Gold Peel Off Sticker Stars to the branches and around the sentiment.  Use the Els van de Burgt Studio Corners 1 die set to die cut four corners, using brown card stock,  and attach to the card.  Use the Joset Design Sled die set to create a tiny poinsettia for the top of the Entwined  Circle.  Add Prills to the center of the flower.

This card will fit into a regular 6x6 envelope.

Mistletoe

What is Christmas without a little Mistletoe?  This card was designed using Susan's Garden Notes Mistletoe die set.

Garden Notes - Mistletoe

The Mistletoe and the bow were die cut using Soft Finish White Cardstock and colored using Susan's Pan Pastels.  The mistletoe was shaped using Susan's Flower Tool Kit. The extra die cut mistletoe leaves were attached with Kids Choice Glue.  A white opaque pen was used to add white dots to the bow.

The white die cut berries were added to the Mistletoe and Wedding Dress irRESISTible Pico Embellisher added on each berry to make them dimensional.  Once the berries were dry, a small black marker was used to add the black dot on the end of the berries.

To frame the Mistletoe, Els van de Burgt Studio Stitched Ovals and Dotted Scallop Oval dies were used. The frames were attached together with dimensional tape.  The Mistletoe and Ribbon were attached to the Oval frames. Attach framed mistletoe to card front.

To complete the card, Gold Christmas Peel Off Stickers were added.

Winter Skates

Time for some Winter Fun! I created a fun card using Joset Designs Skates die set. Here is how the card was created.
Start with a 6×6 inch card. Using a slightly smaller white piece of  White Soft Finish Card Stock, tape the Els van de Burgt Studio Bricks die on the left side of the card stock. Run it through the die cutting machine but do not die cut the very bottom. You want this piece to stay attached at the bottom. Use a piece of of the Through The Lens Stone Design Paper to back the cut out bricks. I am always trying to find new ways to use combine different dies and felt this created an interesting background!
Use Karen Burniston’s Outdoor Edges and Beach Edges die sets to create two different snowbanks at the bottom of the card.  Use a piece of white card stock that has the Clear Double Sided Adhesive attached to the top so you can add Cool Diamond Microfine Glitter to the snow banks. Attach the two die cut pieces together at different levels.
Die cut the Joset Design Skates using Soft Finish White Cardstock; use black card stock for the bottom of the skate, and silver cardstock for the blades. Glue the pieces together, then lace the skates using a thin silver cord. Attach the skates as shown, using dimensional tape, or glue dots.
Use the Els van de Burgt Studio Holiday Garlands 2 die set to die cut the pretty white snowflake border along the bottom. Add Glitter Peel Off Sticker Dots to decorate the snowflake.
Use the Garden Notes Whitepine Boughs & Pinecone die set to die cut four of the large pine branches. Use white card stock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive on top so you can add Silver Silk Microfine Glitterto two pine branches and Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter to the other two. Attach these branches to the upper left corner and add a silver cord bow.
To finish the card, die cut small die cut  snowflakes and add a Glitter Peel Off Dot to the center of each one. Add a few of the smallest Glitter Dots between the snowflakes.
This card will mail easily in a 6×6 envelope.
