God Bless You

I love the new Marianne Design Anja's Circle die (LR0327) so much I had to design another card with it today.  Before taking the die cut out of the die, I sponged Spun Sugar Distress Ink over the exposed portion on the front.  This really helped bring out the beautiful design in the die cut.  I placed this white die cut over a pink die cut from the same set.  It was attached with dimensional tape.  Before attaching it I stamped a sentiment in the center (I am not sure where this sentiment came from).

This is a 6"x6" card.  I cut a lightly smaller square and embossed it with the Crafter's Companion Regency Swirls 8x8 embossing folder.  The pink doily was attached with dimensional tape.

The pink flower was created with the Susan's Garden Gerbera Daisy dies.  Under the flower, I added the Marianne Design LR0192, LR0157 and CR1272 leaves.  To decorate the corners, I added the Marianne Design LR0280 die cut corners.

Doesn't this new Marianne Design Anja's Circle make a beautiful background!

Memory Box Grand Merry Christmas

Aren't the new Memory Box die cut sentiments beautiful!  On this card I used the Grand Merry Christmas Script.  Just above it, I die cut just three rows of the Penny Black "Interlocking" background. Clear rhinestones were attached to the center of each "flower" in that die cut design. A piece of red card stock was attached behind the sentiment and the rest of the card attached to a dark green backing.

A white poinsettia created with Susan's Garden Poinsettia dies was added.  On the petals I added Distress Stickles Clear Rock Dry Glitter.  A Memory Box Beach Sprig was tucked under the poinsettia and a Red Viva Paper pen was used to create the berries.  The Snowflake was die cut from the Marianne Design LR03327 die set.

Here is a picture of the dies I used.

White on White Poinsettia

I had a request to design an elegant, white on white Christmas card with a poinsettia.  It is no secret that for this task I always want to use my favorite dies by Anja.  For the background, I used the Marianne Design, Anja's Delicate Corner in all four corners of this 6x6" card.  I have the new Marianne Design Anja's Circle die, LR0327;  I used it in the center of the card.

This is a picture of the Marianne Design Anja's Circle die cut.  There are four dies. Isn't it gorgeous!

The two larger pieces of the Anja's Circle were attached together and placed in the center of the card.  To add a little more lace to the card, I added four Joy Craft 6002/0135 corners.  They are tucked in at the center at each side.

In the center of the doilies, I added the poinsettia I created with Susan's Garden Poinsettia dies.  Light green vellum was used for the poinsettia leave; I wanted just a hint of color for the leaves.  White Pearls were added in the center of the poinsettia and also on the die cuts.

What do you think -- did it turn out elegant?

Two more Classic Sunflower cards

I still have a lot of cards in my box that I designed using the Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower Collection.  Today I thought I would post two of them.  Seems the ideas are endless when you use the Classic Sunflower Collection Paper Collection, the Classic Sunflower PreCut Set and matching die.  This card was totally designed using just the Classic Sunflower Paper Collection.  The four sunflower panel was cut out and framed on mustard card stock.  The black lace border along the bottom is also from the same design paper.  This piece was attached to one of the 6x6 card panels, from the paper collection.  I added some little corners from my stash.  The sentiment is from the "Chick Retreat PreCut Set".  A little glitter and a twine bow added, completed this quick and easy card.

For this card I used a piece of the Classic Sunflower Design Paper for the background. The scene was stamped using a stamp from the Chick Retreat PreCut Set; it was watercolored.  A Memory Box frame was added around the scene.  The sunflowers were created using the Classic Sunflower PreCut Set and the matching die. A little twine and dried vine were added under the sunflowers.

Snow Scene

My sweet friend Eva sent me some new dies and I had so much fun creating a winter scene with them. Thank you Eva.  The snowman is the Marianne Design COL1332.  The other die she sent is the Marianne Design Jingle Bells COL1363.  On top of the design paper, I used the Poppy Stamps "Puffy Cloud Border" to create snow.  This die will make some great clouds, but I also thought it worked great for snow!  Glitter was added to the top edges.  The snowman was die cut and assembled, then tucked into the snow.  The tree is the Memory Box Frosted Christmas Tree.  While the die cut was still in the die, I added glue to the part of the tree showing through the front of the die, then took the die cut out; Distress Stickles Clear Rock Candy Dry Glitter was sprinkled on, for a snowy effect.  The die cut snowflakes from the Jingle Bells die, were die cut using silver glitter card stock.  The poinsettia was created using the Susan's Garden Poinsettia dies; they were die cut using red and green glitter card stock.  The jingle bells were die cut using shiny gold card stock.  They were attached to a gold cord bow and tucked under the poinsettia.

There is Sunshine in My Soul Today

I wanted to create a window frame for this pretty Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower stamped image.  I used the Marianne Design CR1241oval die to cut the window, then attached the die cut frame from the same set, on the inside of the front of the card , for a decorative window.  One of the Classic Sunshine Paper Collection 6x6 card panels was attached to the front of the card before die cutting the window.  The only other decoration on the front of the card are three blue pearls.

On the inside of the card I attached another 6x6 card panel from the Classic Sunshine Paper Collection.  On the piece that was die cut out of the front panel, I stamped the sunflower image from the Summer's Day PreCut Set.  It was colored with markers.  To give the card a little dimension, I stamped the same image on white card stock and cut out the butterfly.  It was colored then attached with dimensional tape.  I used a stylus to give the wings dimensional shape.  Glitter was added to the petals of the sunflower.  This piece was centered under the window, on the inside of the card.

Ice Skates Tag

I seldom join in on a challenge, but Sizzix has a challenge I thought would be fun.  You can see the "Take The Sizzix Challenge!" at this LINK. You can create any Sizzix craft project such as cards, bags, or boxes, to enter.  I decided to create a Christmas Tag using three different Sizzix dies.

Take The Sizzix Challenge!
This is a picture you are to use for inspiration.

In this picture, the first thing I noticed is there are flowers with baby's breath, and water in the bulbs.  What came to my mind  was to create a poinsettia, use snowflakes, and use Tim Holtz Ice Skates (instead of water, I thought of ice).

I used a large tan tag and sponged Tea Dye Distress Ink around the edges.  My very favorite poinsettia is, of course, the Sizzix, Susan's Garden Poinsettia.  To create a "vintage" looking flower,  I die cut the petals with classic cream card stock then used Goose Bumps on the petals. To give it a pinkish color, I lightly sponged on Barn Door Red Distress Ink.  Punched snowflakes were used instead of baby's breath. The Sizzix Ice Skates were die cut using Tim Holtz Grunge Board. They were painted with Picket Fence, Walnut Stain, and Brushed Pewter Distress Stain. The three Pine Cones were created with the Sizzix Tattered Pinecone die

I hope you like my project today.  I sure had fun creating it.

Happiness is a Butterfly

Happiness is a Butterfly and working with the new Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower Collection.  For this card I used one of the 6x6 card fronts from the  Classic Sunflower Paper Collection.  On a piece of white card stock I stamped the sunflower from the Sunflower Stem PreCut Set.  It was colored with Copic Markers and cut out with scissors.  To make it dimensional, I added one of the sunflowers I created with the Classic Sunflower PreCut Set, over the large stamped sunflower. The flower was attached with dimensional glue dots over a piece of woven trim.  The butterfly above the tag is also a stamp in the Sunflower Stem PreCut Set, and the tag is from the Paper Collection.  Did you notice the ladybug on the leaf?  That little guy is die cut from the Classic Sunflower PreCut set.  I colored it then shaped it, from the back (cupped it), to make him round, then coated it with Glossy Accents.  I think they are so cute.

Can you see the little ladybugs in the Classic Sunflower PreCut Set?  They are also cut out when you use the matching die for this stamp.

Heavenly Sunshine

Are you excited about the new Classic Sunflower Collection by Heartfelt Creations?  I know you will have so much fun working with the Classic Sunflower Paper Collection and stamps.  For this card I used one of the 6x6 card fronts from the design paper and embellished it with sunflowers created with the Classic Sunflower PreCut Set.  In the center of the sunflowers, I added micro beads then around the edges of the beads I added brown Flower Soft.  The flowers were attached over cut pieces of Wired Sisal Rope, used for stems.  Grass was added under the bow.  The sentiment was cut from the design paper.  To go along with the sunshine theme, I decided to add a die cut sun.  Three blue buttons were added to complete the card.

Do you want to create some beautiful, quick, note cards?  You can do that using the card fronts from the Classic Sunflower Paper Collection.  This is a picture of six of the small note cards I created.  I just attached the panels to a 4.25" x 5.5" inch card and stamped a Heartfelt Creations sentiment in the open part of the frame.  So quick and easy!  I did not add any embellishments to these cards.

Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower Collection

I was not sure where to start with posting all the new cards I have created with the new Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower Collection. I created a box full of cards plus decorated a Fall wreath.   I began by creating a bunch of sunflowers with the Classic Sunflower PreCut Set and die cut them with the matching die; below I will show you.

The Classic Sunshine Paper Collection is gorgeous. You can use just the card panels to create quick and easy cards, or you can use the stamps to add other elements to really dress them up.   All the design papers used on this card are from the Classic Sunshine Collection.  To add dimension, I added one sunflower created with the Classic Sunflower PreCut Set.  To brighten the sunflowers in the design paper, I used a bright yellow marker on the petals. Twine and floral embellishments were added under the sunflower. The leaves were die cut and colored in autumn colors and placed under the flower. The border down the left side is also from the design paper.   I added a corner, die cut from the Heartfelt Creations Perfect Petals Die Set. The tag was cut out and mounted to a larger, mustard colored, background.  A piece of twine was added.  Glitter was added to the die cut sunflower as well as the sunflowers in the design paper.

I almost always make a lot of flowers at one time, so I can use them without stopping to create new flowers for more than one project.  The new Classic Sunflower Collection PreCut stamp is really fabulous.  It is one big stamp and has 6 different sizes of sunflowers, plus it has ladybugs and sunflower seeds or petals, in the design.  The matching die, die cuts all these pieces at one time.  I used brown and/or rust ink to stamp the sunflowers on white card stock.  I colored the flowers using Distress Inks.  The flowers were shaped, and two glued together to form the sunflower.  In the stamped flower is a pretty center, but you can also add different things to make the center dimensional, such as Flower Soft, beads or die cut pieces to create realistic centers.

For the completed sunflowers in this picture, I created centers with two sizes of die cut "suns".  I cut between each point of the sun to make it "frilly".  I glued together 7 to 9  "suns" for each center.  Some of the other sunflowers I created have small beads glued in the center.  I used a mixture of gold, rust and black beads.  After all the sunflowers were created, I sprayed them with a glossy finish to preserve them.  This is important especially for the flowers created for the wreath, which I will post later.

I hope you will come back to see the other items I created with this collection.

Cute Snowman

Snowmen always make me smile!   This cute snowman is an old stamp I have had for years, by Inkadinkado, but I think he might be my favorite.  I decided to frame him in the Marianne Design CR1261 frame.  For the embossed background, I used the new Marianne Design DF3405 embossing folder.  The embossing folder did not cover the entire portion of the top of the card, so down the left side, I used my Scor-Pal to draw three diagonal lines to fill the empty space.  Three pearls were placed at the top.

The Marianne Design CR1261 frame is open in the center.  I stamped the snowman on a separate piece of card stock and cut around him to fit under the open frame.  The frame was attached over the stamped image with dimensional tape, then the entire frame attached to the card with  more dimensional tape.  Glitter was added to the edges of the frame and to the snowflakes in the stamped design.

The "Snow Buddies are the Best!" sentiment is from the Stampendous "Build A Snowman" stamp set.  The "Merry Christmas" sentiment is from a Hero Arts Poly Clear Christmas Sentiment stamp set.

Here is a closeup so you can see the glitter and how the frame is elevated.

Thank you for visiting my blog.
