Just Living is Not Enough ...

Today I used a beautiful stamp from Quietfire Designs.  The name of the stamp is 'Just Living is not Enough'.  To frame the sentiment, I used Fitted Ovals and Fitted Frames 4 - Curvy Ovals.  The sentiment was stamped in the center of the ovals, using VersaFine black ink.  The Oval Frame was attached to the front of the card, which was covered with a piece of design paper.

The pretty lilies were created using Susan's Garden Notes Lily die set.  They were shaped using Susan's Flower Tool Kit.  Behind the flowers Leafy Branch 6 - Wheat die cuts were added.

To finish the card, two hot pink Dancing Butterflies were added.

Hope you enjoyed by card today.  Links to the products used are below.  Thank you for stopping by.

Christmas Waves a Magic Wand

We had our first snowfall yesterday and it inspired me to create this Christmas card.

I used the Quietfire Creations Christmas Waves a Magic Wand rubber stamp.  Isn't that a beautiful verse for a Christmas card!

To create a dimensional scene, Els van de Burgt Studio Dotted Scallop Oval and Fitted Oval frame die sets were used to die cut an opening in pieces of 6x6 inch card stock.  At the bottom of the Fitted Frame Oval, two snow banks were added.  They were die cut using Karen Burniston's Outdoor Edges die.  A Gold Line Peel Off Sticker was used to line the die cut edge of the Fitted Oval Frame.

A piece of vellum was die cut to fit behind the die cut Fitted Oval.  Three Susan's CountryScapes Woods 4 trees were die cut and glued to the front of the vellum.  This piece was attached to the back of the Fitted  Oval frame.  On the card base, three more CountryScapes Woods 4 trees were attached so they would appear further back in the forest.  The vellum was to represent fog between the trees. The snow added to the trees was created by using DecoArt Snow-Tex paste.

Using Susan's CountryScapes Critters 6 die set, the deer was die cut and color sponged on.  Pine boughs were die cut using Susan's Garden Notes Whitepine Bough & Pinecone die set and a small red poinsettia made using Garden Notes Small Poinsettia die set.

The Oval layers were attached to the front of the card with dimensional tape between layers.  The Quietfire verse was stamped, then fussy cut around the words and attached to the lower right corner.  The deer was attached on the outside of the ovals using dimensional tape.

Gold Peel Off Line Stickers were added around the outside frame, then the Pine boughs and Poinsettia added.

Joy

Today I am posting the card I designed for my Quietfire Creations Design Team Blog Post.  It is a card using two beautiful stamps designed by Suzanne Cannon from Quietfire Creations.

Flourished Ornament - Set of 4 Stamps - Mounted

I fell in love with the Joy stamp which is in the Quietfire Creations Flourished Ornament stamp set.  Isn't it beautiful!

To show off this beautiful stamp, I used the Elizabeth Craft Designs Dotted Scalloped Oval die set and die cut one of each size ovlas.  The ovals were layered, using dimensional tape, so that the edge of each die cut matched at the top of the largest oval.  These ovals are very dimensional.  Before attaching the smallest oval, I used VersaMark and Ultra Fine Gold Embossing Power to stamp the sentiment.  This oval set was attached in the middle of the card at the upper edge.

Two flowers were created using Susan's Garden Notes Poinsettia and Garden Notes Small Poinsettia die sets.  Ten pine boughs were die cut using Susan's Garden Notes Whitepine Boughs & Pinecone die set.  The poinsettias were die cut using white card stock and a brush dipped in bright pink reinker, was brushed down the center of each petal.   The poinsettias and pine boughs were arranged at the bottom of the oval die cuts.  Gold cording and beads were added around the arrangement.  The green background was outlined using Elizabeth Craft Design Gold Peel Off Line Stickers.  Two Gold Peel Off Sticker Corners were added at the top.  There were some gold pieces left when the Gold Corner Stickers were pulled off the sticker sheet.  I used a few of these pieces under the sentiment.

Christmas Waves a Magic Wand - Mounted

The Quietfire Creations Christmas Waves a Magic Wand stamp is one of my favorite to use on Christmas cards.  This sentiment is perfect for anyone.  This is the stamp I used on the inside of this card.

In keeping with the ovals on the front of the card, the two largest Dotted Scallop Ovals were die cut.  The Christmas Waves a Magic Wand sentiment was stamped using VersaMark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.

I always add an extra piece of card stock to the inside of my cards that is slightly smaller than 6x6 inches.  A Gold Peel Off Line Sticker was added to the bottom of the piece.  To match the front of the card, two more Gold Peel Off Corner Stickers were added inside.

Be sure to go over to the Quietfire Creations Store to find just the perfect stamp or die to create your holiday cards.

Autumn Serenity

Autumn is such a beautiful time to travel and view all the beautiful colors of the season, have fun going to the pumpkin patch and baking/eating wonderful things such as pumpkin bread or chocolate chip pumpkin cookies, that are available this time of year.

Today my card was created using the A Way With Words 4-Seasons Autumn die combined with one of the stamps from the Quietfire Creations Garden Bench Collection.

The wreath was created by die cut two of the Els van de Burgt Studio Entwined Circles. Thinking of how much fun it is to go out to the pumpkin patch to see the variety of pumpkins stacked high,  I added pumpkins die cut using Els van de Burgt Studio Pumpkin die set. For the Fall leaves, I used Susan's Garden Notes Woodland Leaves die set.  A few Elizabeth Craft Design Peel Off Stickers were used behind the pumpkin patch.

I hope you are enjoying this colorful season!

Pumpkin  (The pumpkin dies are now out of stock and will be replaced next year with a new pumpkin die set.  You can purchase the Pumpkin Peel Off Stickers to complete this project.)

Autumn is a Second Spring

This is the card I designed for my Quietfire Creations design team blog post, which you can see at this LINK.

I love the beautiful stamps by Suzanne Cannon.  Today I have an Autumn card using Suzanne's Autumn is a Second Spring rubber stamp.

The sentiment was stamped on a piece of tan card stock.  The card stock was die cut to fit behind Susan's die cut Garden Notes Round Grapevine Wreath.  This was centered on the card front.

To add fall colors, flowers were created using Susan's Garden Notes Chrysanthemum, and Sunflower dies; Susan's Garden Woodland Leaves dies, plus Els van de Burgt Studio Pumpkin and Berry Branch die sets.

A piece of gunny sack trim was added at the bottom of the wreath and all die cuts arranged around the wreath.  For extra dimension to the Berry Branch, I added dots of Love Letter, irRESISTible Pico Embellisher, by Imagine Crafts.  The leaves were colored using Viva 3D-Stempel-Farbe Stamp Paint.  To complete the card, a small bow was added to the top of the wreath.

Christmas Is the Day - Mounted

For my card I have used one of Suzanne's new stamps - Christmas is the Day, which is actually attached to the inside of the window of this card.  Over the die cut window is a piece of acetate that has a piece of Glitterfoil attached over it.  A frame for the opening was die cut using two sizes of Stitched Frames.

The gold Christmas die cut sentiment was die cut using Suzanne's A Way With Words "Merry Christmas - 2" die.  To help elevate this sentiment, a second Christmas was die cut using Fun Foam and the two pieces glued together.

To decorate the card further, Susan's Garden Notes Small Poinsettia dies were used for the flower and Els van de Burgt Studio Holiday Garlands 2 die set used for the border on the side and the additional snowflakes.

When you open the card, you will see the gold embossed sentiment that shows through the window on the front of the card.  At the bottom, another Holiday Garland was added.

The Woods Would be Very Silent

Good Morning.  Today I have a have a card designed using one of Suzanne Cannon's beautiful Quietfire Creations stamps.  I love the message on this stamp -  it tells us we all need to try, even if we are not the best!

The Woods Would be Very Silent - Set of 5 Stamps - Mounted

I used a piece of 6x6 inch design paper for the background. To frame the sentiment, I die cut two ovals using the new Els van de Burgt Studio Entwined Ovals from Elizabeth Craft Designs. The ovals were glued to the design paper. Using the Misti Precision Stamping Tool, the sentiment was stamped inside the oval using VersaFine Black Ink.

Using Susan's Garden Notes Chrysanthemum and Zinnia dies, flowers were die cut for the bottom of the card.  I wanted to add a bird similar to the one in the design paper, so I used Susan's Garden Birds 1 die set.  The flowers and bird were attached at the bottom of the Entwined Oval.

God Gave Us Memory

It won't be long until we start collecting the dies and stamps we need to use for our Holiday cards.  I love working with the stamps and dies designed by Suzanne Cannon from Quietfire Creations.

4 Seasons, Set of 4 - Metal Cutting Dies

This is a picture of the new A Way With Words - 4 Seasons die set.  I used the Winter die from this set, for this card; it was die cut using black card stock.
God Gave Us Memory - Mounted
This is the Quietfire Design "God Gave Us Memory" rubber stamp.  The sentiment was stamped, using black VersaVine ink, on the upper right corner of a piece of design paper.

The flower was created using Susan's Garden Notes Rose 1 die set.  Under the Rose, I added pieces of a gunny sack type ribbon and shredded the ends.  On top of the ribbon, Pine Boughs were added; these were die cut using Susan's Garden Notes Whitepine Bough & Pinecone die set.  Both die sets are available from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  To create a Winter type card, Faber Castell Whipped Spackle was added to the Pine Boughs.  Glue was dropped around the spackle, the rose leaves and on some of the rose petals, then Ranger Distress Stickles - Clear Rock Candy Dry Glitter was sprinkled on.

This card will be perfect for someone with a Winter birthday!

I Don't Tell You Often Enough

Have you seen all the beautiful new stamp sets from Quietfire Creations?  Here is a LINK to the new products that are now available.

Crackle Background - Mounted

This is a 6x6 inch card.  I cut a piece of light purple card stock 5 3/4 inches for the background. To give this piece some texture, I used Suzanne's new Crackle Background Stamp. I am excited to have this new background stamp and I am sure you will want to add it to your stamp collection too!

I used a piece of design paper from my stash and die cut it to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Dotted Scallop Rectangle dies.

I Don't Tell You Often Enough, Set of 5 - Mounted

For the Sentiment, I used one of the stamps from the "I Don't Tell You Often Enough" stamp set.  It was stamped on white card stock with black VersaFine Ink then die cut is one of the small Dotted Scallop rectangle dies.  Before removing it from the die, purple ink was sponged around the edges.  This piece was attached with dimensional tape at the bottom of the card.

For extra "glamour", a little glitter was added to flowers and chairs and a few flat back pearls added.
