Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop

It is time for another Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop.  This  month there are six of us in the hop.  Heartfelt Creations is giving away another $25 Gift Certificate to one person commenting on the blogs.  We don't know which blog the winner will be chosen from, so be sure and comment on each blog for a chance to win. If you came from Theresa's blog, you are probably going in order; your next stop will be Clare.  Below is a complete list of everyone participating in this blog hop.

One of my first Heartfelt Creations stamp sets was the Posy Patch set with matching dies.  I was so excited to have a stamp set with matching dies;  I use this set over and over.  The flower I created today is the "hydrangea".  I used the "Hydrangea/Posy Branch PreCut Set" (HCPC 3301) to stamp the flower then stamped a lot of the smallest Posy Patch flowers (HCPC 3303) in two shades of purple card stock. They were die cut using the Heartfelt Creations "Posy Patch Dies" (HCD 701).  I love to create dimensional flowers and it was so easy to do by adding all the little individual "posy patch" flowers.  I just kept stacking them until I felt the flower had the rounded shape I was looking for.   In the center of each flower, I used a different shade of purple Copic marker to add a colored center, then added purple Stickles in each little flower.  The leaves were stamped twice, cut out and shaped  to give additional dimension to the flower.

The flower is so dainty looking and I wanted to showcase it in a very pretty embossed background.  I used the Marianne "DS0907" Cut and emboss folder and added lavender behind the die cuts.  My card is 5.5" square which left an area on the left side that was not embossed.  I turned the embossing folder around and placed the edge of it up next to the embossed design.  It was placed on the cutting mat of the die cutting machine so only the portion I wanted to emboss was on the plate, then ran it through the machine.  If the whole design had been placed on the plate, it would have flattened out the previously embossed area.

The Heartfelt Creations butterflies were stamped, colored with Copic markers, cut out then added around the flower.  The sentiment is from the Heartfelt Creations "Inspire Me Sentiments" (HCPC 3363) stamp set.  It was die cut using one of the Spellbinders "Fancy Tags" die.

Anyhow, I just don't know how you do all of these beautiful cards. I love that you tell us how to do them, and I read and reread them and then just shake my head at the fact that you are able to have all the dies and embossing folders etc. I especially love all the heartfelt ones. They are so over the top but then again, anything that you do is. Thank you so much for such great talent...
