Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge

It is time for a new weekly challenge at Joan's Gadens.  Here are the challenge rules:

Create a card that:
  • opens from the bottom (Tent style card)
  • use purple, aqua, and light green for the colors
  • use something from nature for the theme

For my card I used the card die cut card from the Sizzix ""Sizzix Pop N Cuts XL Card Horizontal A2" die.  This is the outside of the PopUp card I posted yesterday.  I used the Heartfelt Creations "Delicate Asters" paper collection for the cover on this card.  It is a 12x12" paper pad so I was able to cut a piece of design paper that fit both the front and back using the Sizzix die.  I used the "Delicate Asters PreCut Set" to stamp one of the asters to fit over the one in the design paper, to make it dimensional.  The flower was cut out with the matching Heartfelt Creations Aster die.   In the center of the flower, I created a stamen using the Cheery Lynn Build A Flower embellishments #1 dies.  This design paper is so beautiful I did not need to add anything more but attached an aqua colored butterfly, from my stash, for the third required color for this challenge.
