Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge

It is time for a new challenge over at Joan's Gardens.  This week the challenge is to add embellishments to a piece of design paper.  Please go over to Joan's Gardens to get all the details about this challenge.

For my card I used a piece of design paper from the new Kaiser Craft "Turtle Dove" paper pad.  This pad has so many gorgeous papers in it.  I chose this outdoor scene and added the Memory Box Poinsettia.  It was stamped twice on red card stock, once on green card stock, and just the berries on the center on yellow card stock.  The layers were cut out with scissors, shaped and put together with a new dimensional tape from Joan's Gardens call "X-Press It High Tack Foam Mounting Tape".  Gold Stickles was added to the flower.  The flourish below the flower is the Cheery Lynn "Holly Flourish. Two were die cut and placed under the flower.  The Merry Christmas is one of the Cheery Lynn Merry Christmas sentiment dies.  There are two sizes in this set and I used the larger one.

This card came together so quick and easy.  It is always fun to just add a few embellishments to a piece of pretty design paper.  I hope you will join us this week in this fun challenge.

All the products I used can be purchased from Joan's Gardens:

  5. Your card may have been quick and easy, but you'd never know it 'cause it's so gorgeous!! I've always said printed DP works so well for cards... as opposed to just a scrapbook page.
