Sarah Kay "Bernadette"

Oh my gosh!  Isn't this the cutest image.  Yesterday I received this stamp from Joan's Gardens and could hardly wait to make a card.  I love Sarah Kay stamps and wish I owned every single one.  Joan is now carrying them in her store and I now can build up my collection of these cute stamps.

The name of this stamp is "Bernadette admiring the spring flowers".   She was stamped using Memento black ink then colored using Koh-i-noor colored pencils and OMS.  I love how you can blend with this technique.  The image was cut out using small petite Nestie ovals.  The background dp is from the BasicGrey Kioshi Paper Pad and the top is white cs embossed with the Dotted Swiss embossing folder.  The border across the middle was punch using a MS punch.

My sweet friend Sue sent me a surprise package that had some beautiful mulberry paper flowers. There are many styles and I love them all.   I have been admiring these flowers on cards for some time and was so excited to receive them.  Thank you so much Sue.  Usually when I get really pretty things, I want to use them but will end up saving them for later because I don't to not have them.  Are you that way?  Well I have changed my ways and now use pretty embellishments and paper because there is always more.  I think the roses are a great accent on this card.  The butterflies were punched with a Martha Stewart punch as were the leaves under the roses.  The verse is from MTME.  It was cut out with a deckle edge Nestie and sponged prior to taking it out of the die.

I have another cute Sarah Kay stamp I will use for tomorrow's card.

I do appreciate your visit.  Have a wonderful day.
