Stargazer Lilies

Stargazer lilies are so pretty.  Today I have a card designed using Garden Notes Lily 2 to create the Stargazer flowers.

This is a 6-inch square card.  Cut a piece of white card stock 5 3/4 inch square and score around the edges, using a Score-Pal.  Attach to the front of the card.  The colored window square piece was die cut using a Garden Notes window die that is now discontinued.   It was die cut using a piece of design paper and attached in the center of the card.

Use the GinaK Double Stitched Oval die set and die cut the largest oval, using white card stock.  Attach with white foam tape in the center of the card.

Use the Elizabeth Craft Designs Leafy Branch die set and die cut three branches, using white card stock.  Sponge on two shades of green ink.  Use the Flower Tool Kit Leaf Tool and draw a line down the center of each leaf.  Use the small Elizabeth Craft Designs Tweezers to pinch each leaf in half, to give it some dimension.  Cut the Leafy Branches in half and attach over the Oval die cut.

Use the Garden Notes Lily 2 die set and die cut pieces for three lilies.  Use White Soft Finish 110 Lb card stock for the petals so they will hold their shape.  Color the center of each petal using first a light pink marker then going over it with a darker pink marker, allowing a little of the light pink ink to show around the edges of the darker pink.  Be sure to leave the very edge of each petal white.  Use a magenta fine point marker to add dots to the lower portion of each flower petal.  Shape the flower petals using the Flower Tool Kit.  Die cut the stamens using white card stock and color with a very light yellow green marker.  Cut each stamen length in half, using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Fine Pointed Scissors.  Dip the ends of the stamens in Kids Choice Glue, then into the Red Pollen.  Roll the stamen and attach to the center of the lily.  Attach the lilies over the Leafy Branches, as shown.

Use the Garden Notes (smallest) Hydrangea die set and die cut petals, using white card stock.  Shape using the smallest stylus in the Flower Tool Kit. Attach the flowers over the Leafy Branches.   Add Light purple Nuvo Crystal Drops in the center of each little flower.

I have not added a sentiment to this card yet, but there is plenty of room at the bottom to add either a die cut, or stamped, sentiment.

This card can be mailed in one of the Clear Acrylic Boxes from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
