Merry Christmas

The die cut A Way With Words sentiments create such beautiful cards.

Using the largest Els van de Burgt Studio Square, Stitched Frame set, a frame was die cut.  Around the outside edges of the die cut frame, a piece of the 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive was attached; Silver Soft Microfine Glitter was applied to the adhesive.  This will create a silver glittered background behind the largest Postage Stamp Square Frame.  By adding the line of Clear double Sided Adhesive, I did not need to glitter the entire square when only the edges were going to be seen behind the die cut square on top.

The A Way With words - Merry Christmas was die cut using silver card stock. It was attached at the top of the Postage Stamp Square.

Using the Els van de Burgt Studio 5 Part Pine die, the five pieces of the tree were die cut. The three largest pieces used for the largest tree and the two smaller pieces used for the small tree.  To make them dimensional, I used a score board and scored a line down the center of each section, then two more score lines on each side of the middle.  The middle score line was folded in a mountain fold, then a valley fold and on the end another mountain fold.  (You end up with three mountain folds on each pine section.  The sections were then attached to the card using dimensional dots.  The end of the branches were glittered the Silver Peel Off Sticker Glitter Dots added.

Garden Notes - Small Poinsettia

Using Susan's Garden Notes Small Poinsettia die set, petals were die cut to create one flower.

Garden Notes - Poinsettia 6 piece set

I like to use the two Poinsettia die sets together.  Using the Garden Notes (large) Poinsettia die set, the large set of petals was die cut. This die cut will be used for the "leaves" of the flower.  Before die cutting this piece, white card stock was attached to a piece of Clear Double Sided Adhesive so the die cut could be glittered, using the Silver Silk Microfine Glitter.  Using Susan's Flower Tool Kit, the glittered leaves were shaped after the glitter was added.  This helped bring out the vein lines.  Using a small piece of the left over glittered cardstock, a punch was used to punch out small circles, which were added to the center of the poinsettia.  Clear glitter was added to the petals of the poinsettia.
