Heartfelt Creations Sunny Day Collection

Today is the release of the new Heartfelt Creations "Sunny Day  Collection".   I am sure we are all ready to starting thinking about beautiful gardens and we can do that with this beautiful collection.   I decided to create a group of cards and place them in a box for a birthday gift.

I started with a 5.5" square box that I wanted to recycle.  There are 24 gorgeous design papers in the "Sunny Day Collection" Paper Pad you can work with to create beautiful recycled boxes, or even create your own box with the design paper.  On the outside, I did use a small portion of the recycled box, but covered the top, sides and all the inside using the Sunny Day Collection paper.

This picture shows you both the top of the finished box as well as the inside.  I used the same design paper on the outside walls of the box as I did on the walls of the inside.  I cut one of the pieces of design paper in four pieces and used one corner of it on the lid, and another corner on the inside.   On the lid, I added one of the die cuts from the "Decorative Butterfly Corner (HCD 730).  There are two sizes in this package.  The sentiment is from the Heartfelt Creations "Melodious Songbird" stamp set (HCPC 3511).

The very first Heartfelt Creations stamp set I worked with was the "Posy Patch" flowers (HCPC 3303) and matching dies (HCD 701).  It is so nice that these stamps still coordinate with so many of the much later released sets. I used a gray ink to stamp the smallest Posy Patch flower on light yellow card stock and die cut with the matching dies.

This card was created with one of the gorgeous butterfly stamps in the "Butterfly Medley PreCut Set" HCPC 3519).  It is the same butterfly you see in the design paper on the lid of the box.  It was colored with Distress Markers and the edges sponged with Distress Ink.  The top of the card was embossed with one of the embossing folders from the Sizzix "Corners & Lattice" set (656979). A silk bow and Kasier Craft pearls were added to complete the front of the card.

One of the things I love about the Heartfelt Creations Design Paper pads   is that it also includes blank matching frames and also frames with sentiments.  The sentiment on the inside of this card is from the design paper.

I don't want to make this post too long, so I won't describe how the following cards were created, but I do want to show you a two more of the beautiful images in this collection.  I will describe these in a later post.

Selma, your creations are always gorgeous, but this collection is the best. WOW!!! I admit I turn a bit green (with envy) when I view your work. At any rate, thanks so much for the inspiration.
