Cute Box from a Die

Do you like to create your own packaging for small gifts?   It always brings a smile to the person receiving a gift to see a homemade box, doesn't it.   It is a Sizzix die designed by Eileen Hull. I am sure this is a die you will use over and over.   In my picture the box does not look square because I was trying to get part of the top of the box in the front view of it, but the box is perfectly square and very easy to die cut and put together.  There are only two pieces that need to be glued together to create this box. (There are three tabs you add Scor-Tape to to create the box.) There are also die cut pieces included for the front of the lid and for the sides.

To decorate the lid of the box, I used two different Cheery Lynn Daisy Dies.  The new "Daisy Strip" flowers work well with the "Darling Daisies" to give you a variety of sizes.  I used the Cheery Lynn "Flourish Leaf Strip" for the leaves.  The center of the daisies was created by layering three of the "sun" embellishments from the Cheery Lynn Build A Flower #1 embellishments.  In the very center I added some Lemon Flower Soft to create more fullness.  Under the daisies, I used the new Memory Box "Loom Circle" to create a "wreath" for the daisies.

In this picture you can see the additional die cut included with this box die to give the front portion of the lid a decorative touch.   There is also a matching piece that fits along the top edge of the box, but it is not showing up in this photo.   On the lid I added a MFT "Vintage Flourish" and added another daisy in the center.

Along the bottom of the box I die cut the Memory Box Rounded Fence and pieced them around the lower edge.  To complete the box I added some of the Cheery Lynn "Mini Dimensional Butterflies".  There are seven different butterflies, plus the angel wings in this set.  I did not use the angle wings this time.

Sizzix "Square Box" 658058
Memory Box "Loom Circle" 98520
Memory Box "Rounded Fence" 98287

Cheery Lynn "Darling Daisies" A196

Oh Selma, this is beautiful and it's so right to get us in the mood for spring. I love your flowers and you can do them like no other. Love the box and maybe have to invest. Hope DH is doing better, keeping you both in my prayers. Take care dear friend.
