Birthday Wishes

Today I have been having fun with a new birthday stamp set I just received from Joan's Gardens.  This is the JustRite "Topsy Turvy Cakes" (CR02230) stamp set.  Below is a picture showing the 20 stamps in this set.  What is great is when you get this set, you can get coloring ideas right off the package.  I know you will have lots of fun with this JustRite birthday set.

Topsy Turvy Clear Stamps
CR-02230
$13.99 plus shipping
Set of 20 Clear Stamps
Compatible with Spellbinders S4-112 Classic Ovals SM, S4-110 Classic Ovals LG and S5-022 Labels Ten

For my card I started with a 5.5x6" card.  The design paper is from an older KaiserCraft paper pad called "Lilac Avenue Collection".  I love this paper pad because it has a lot of pages with purple paper which I think are hard to find.  I stamped all three of the "Topsy Turvy Cakes" in this set and colored them with Copic markers using the JustRite package as a guide.  These cakes were so much fun to color.  I decided to use the cake that had the most purple in it.  Now I have two more cakes I can use for future birthday cards!   I wanted to give this card a lot of dimension, so cut around the design with scissors.  The pretty rectangle doily I used for the frame is the Marianne Design (CR1202)  frame.  You need to die cut it then use the embossing pad and run it through your die cutting machine a second time to emboss the pretty detail in the frame.  Before taking it out of the die, I sponged on some aqua ink to give the background additional dimension.  Next I used one of the Spellbinders petite oval dies to create the oval behind the cake.  All these pieces were put together with dimensional dots.  Below the frame, I die cut the Cheery Lynn "Tangled Hearts" (B143) border using aqua card stock and layered it over a purple band.  In the upper right hand corner I added one of the Cheery Lynn "Two of Hearts" (DL 128) hearts.  In the center I stamped "Birthday Wishes!" which is a stamp that comes in the JustRite "Topsy Turvy Cakes" stamp set.  Stickles was added to the cake, a few purple Dew Drops, and a silk yellow bow to complete the card.

This is a birthday stamp set I think you will really enjoying having in your collection.  You can order it and all the other items I used today from Joan's Gardens

I think in a couple of weeks we should have a challenge at Joan's Gardens to create a birthday card which includes a birthday cake.  Wouldn't this be a great stamp set to use!  I would love to see what you can do with this set.    Joan doesn't know this yet, but I'm sure she won't care, when we do this challenge, we will give you double entries, for that week,  for the drawing, if you use this stamp set.  Of course every entry submitted will be in the drawing and the winner will be entered in the drawing at the end of the year for the $100 gift certificate to Joan's Gardens.  If you would like to use this stamp set in the challenge, you can preorder it  now and Joan will make sure you all have your set in time to use them for this challenge.  Remember, you are not charged until Joan actually mails out your order.    You can check out this JustRite set and a lot of other new JustRite stamp sets Joan just posted HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a great weekend.

Your card is beautiful, Selma. I love those funky cakes! If I ever tried a multi layer cake, I'm sure it would look a bit askew! Great job, my friend, as always! Hugs...

You always make such great cards with those dies! Love the paper...but then maybe that's because I am still hoarding some of it. :) Great card!
