Spread Your Wings

I have been working on a card for a couple of days and hope you like it.  Joan sent me a bunch of new products and I have been so anxious to use some of these products.  This is a 6"x6" card.  The background paper is from "Reflections" collection 6x6" paper stack.

The stand and bird cage from the new JustRite "Spread Your Wings" stamp set were black embossed right on the designer paper.  One of the little birds from this same set was stamped with yellow ink then shaded in with browns.  It was outlined with a black marker, then cut out and added with a dimensional in the opening of the cage.  I was trying to make it look like a baby bird looking up at the parent which is part of the design paper.  The sentiment used from this set reads "Spread your wings and fly".  The frame used for the sentiment is from the JustRite "Family Garden" stamp set.  It was stamped with black ink onto ivory card stock.  The outside was colored with a blue marker then a sponge dauber was used to shade around the inside edge. One of the Spellbinder "Parisian Accent" pieces was glued to the top of the sentiment then the piece attached with dimensional tape.

The pretty Cheery Lynn "Fanciful Flourish"  was die cut and glued over the stamped image.  This flourish is approximately 4.25" tall and is a perfect size to add flowers to.  The JustRite "Family Garden" set has a flower stamp that is similar to the flowers in the design paper, so I stamped and cut out eight flowers that were glued onto the vine.  The little butterfly from the "Spread Your Wings" set was stamped above the  the bird cage.

I wanted to "ground" my design so die cut the Cheery Lynn Grass Border.  I love how this die cuts "thin" blades of grass.  It looks so realistic, doesn't it!   After the card was completed, a bright blue bow was added.

I have promised to do some tutorials but it may be a little while before I get these done for you.  I did find out from the MRI's they did on my lower back that I have two bulging discs and will be seeing a back specialist next week.  I am still needing to take a lot of medicine to help with pain but will post as I can get things done.

All products I use can be purchased from Joan's Gardens.  Joan has posted a lot of new JustRite stamp sets and new Spellbinder dies you can preorder.  I'm sure you will want to check them all out.  My list is growing every day!!!!
