New Cheery Lynn Designs Dies

Today I received a package from Joan's Gardens and it included some of the new Cheery Lynn Designs dies.  When I did a survey with you a couple of weeks ago, everyone said they loved all the new dies, but the most popular was the "Cathedral Lace Frame" (DL148).  That is the frame I have used on my card today.  It was die cut using the Stainless Steel plate by Cheery Lynn Designs to help cut these intricate designs.  The lace frame was glued to a deep purple backing.  I just ran a small amount of liquid glue around the edge of the frame. Under the die cut frame I added a piece of light lavender card stock that was embossed with the Cheery Lynn "Dotted Swiss" extra large embossing plate.  My card is a 5x7 and this embossing plate was large enough to emboss the whole thing.  The Cuttlebug embossing folders only emboss a 4.25x5 inch area.  To give texture to the light lavender piece, I distressed it with the Zutter Distress-It machine.

The flowers were created using the new Cheery Lynn "Cherry Blossoms" die (B129).  For the large flower I used two of the larger flowers and one smaller flower.  The smaller flowers were created by using just two layers of the smallest flower.  The edges of the flowers were sponged with purple ink. These flowers were very easy to shape using the large white tool from the Flower Tool Kit.  A medium "Sun" punch was used for the stamens.  Lavender Dew Drops were added in the center of each flower.

The pair of Cheery Lynn "Ferns" (B118) were die cut and used for greenery under the flowers.  A dark green dragonfly was die cut using the new Cheery Lynn "Small Dragonfly with Angel Wings" (DL152).  The Angel Wings were cut out of a light green cardstock then lime green Stickles was spread over the Angel Wings.  The body of the dragonfly was sponged with a very dark green ink. To complete the card a pretty purple bow and a few purple Dew Drops were added.

All the products used on my card can be purchased fro Joan's Gardens.

Thanks for stopping by.  I would love to read your comments about these new Cheery Lynn dies.

Enjoy your weekend.

I love all of your cards, always. I have some of the Cherry Lynn Dies and I love them, some are harder to get to cut the entire image though, seems like the middles don't want to cut as well. Have you had this problem? I just keep turning and running it back through my Grand Caliper.
