More new Products and a WINNER

First I want to thank all 45 of you who left a comment to let Joan and me know what your favorite Cheery Lynn dies are.  Looks like they are all going to be very popular.   So now it is time to announce the winner of the Cheery Lynn "Judy Blooms" die.  The randomly picked number was #16.  Congratulations Sheila. Please email me with your complete mailing address.   Below is her comment and her favorite new Cheery Lynn die.

Blogger Sheila - Ginger said...Hi Selama as always your card is beautiful and I look forward to each and every new creation you come up with. Choosing a favourite Cheery Lynn die is just so hard as I love them all but at a push I would go for the Victorian Romance Flourish which I think would be so versatile.

I have a few more new products from Joan's Gardens that I want to show you.  First is a set of  "Fleur de Lis" stamps that were developed for use with the Spellbinders Fleur de Lis dies.  As you can see in the picture below, there are a lot of stamps in this set that coordinate perfectly with the dies.  What an easy way to dress up a die cut and/or card.  I used the largest die and gold embossed the design in the upper left corner in the picture below.  I used one of the bird cages from the new JustRite "Spread Your Wings" stamp sets for the center design.  There are 15 stamps in this set.  The greeting is also from this set.  The bird was black embossed and cut out so she would stand out in the gold cage.   This is a 5.5" square card.  A piece of design paper from the new Graphic 45 "The Magic of Oz  Collection" was used for the background.  To finish the card a few black Dew Drops and a black silk bow were added.  This was really a quick and easy, and I think elegant,  card to create.

I have had my small Fiskars paper cutter for years and have worn it out.  I just ordered a new Fiskars cutter (shown below) from Joan's Gardens and I love it so much, so in case you need a new cutter I wanted to tell you about it.  It has so many great features.  Some of them are:  it has greater accuracy because of a Triple Track rail system - the SureCut wire cut-line shows exactly where the blade cuts.  It has over a 6 inch deck with a grid with all the common card sizes and even extends over 15 inches with the self-leveling swing out arm.  It has a paper clamp/smudge guard, and something important to me is that it has a permanent grid printed underneath the clear covering.  My old cutter has most of the numbers worn off and that will never happen with this trimmer.  Using this trimmer is like cutting through butter!

As you know all products I use can be purchased from Joan's Gardens. She is off to CHA this week but you can email her your orders and they will go out next week.  If you don't find products I use, in her store, just tell Joan what you want and she will either call or email you with prices or answer any questions you have about the products.

Just one more thing.  Remember I was so excited and showed you a picture of flowers on my coffee tree.  Guess What!  I now have coffee beans.  Isn't this exciting.  We must be crazy though to have a "tree" in our house.  We have to keep cutting the top of it off because it has reached the ceiling several times.  I tried to give this tree away just before it had flowers, and now we are so happy we kept it just for the experience of seeing it produce coffee beans.  Now I have to learn when to pick them and how to roast them.  Wonder if I will have enough for a cup of coffee -- I think so!  Can you see some of the beans in the picture below?
