Let Friendship Bloom

Before I tell you about my card, I want to thank all of you who visit my blog.  Last night when I posted my card the visitor count was 274,558 and right now it is 275,231.  That means I have had 673 visitors to my blog in less than 24 hours.  It makes me feel good to know so many of you enjoy visiting me.  I also want to thank all of you who have cared about me while not feeling well.  I am doing better and hope to improve every day.  I sure have missed creating and giving you new ideas. I also want to thank Joan for all the great variety of wonderful stamping and card making products. I truly love designing for her.  She is always on top of the newest and best products available so we will never run out of new ideas.  The selection is amazing and I love trying to create samples and prepare tutorials to give you ideas for all the products you love to use.

Today I have done something different.  I wanted to create a very different background.  I used two of the new Cheery Lynn Frame dies.  The back frame is the Lattice #2 (FRM115).  I used black card stock for this frame.  For the second layer (on top) I die cut the Cheery Lynn "Lattice Circles (FRM116) using some really fun card stock Joan carries.

These are the two dies that are layered together to get the fun looking background.  There are so many things you can do with these two frame dies.  The frames were attached over the design paper.

This is a picture of the card stock used for the circle lattice.  It is called Core'dinations Color Core Cardstock "Black Magic".  This is a pad of many colors.  The top of each sheet is solid black, but you can sand it off and the color shown on the back of the sheet comes through to give you color.  The piece I used was "peach".  Can you see that coming through in the areas that are sanded?  The design paper I used is from the My Minds Eye "Stella and Rose" paper pad.  It has tiny little white daisies with orange centers.
The flourish over the die cut background is the Cheery Lynn "Tropical Flourish" (B127).  The flowers were created with the medium "Daisy" punch and the center of each daisy was created with the medium "Sun" punch.  Down in the center of each stamen, I added a little pool of glue and added orange "Flower Soft".  I love the look.   I wanted to "ground" my leafy flourish, so I added a grass border, also a Cheery Lynn die "Grass Border" (B126).

The pretty frame and sentiment are from the JustRite "Friendship Blooms" stamp set.  Don't you love all these new JustRite stamp sets with frames, sentiments, corners, and more.  These are stamps sets that will never go out of style and are so versatile.  The pretty butterfly is from a package of "Pink Paislee" Butterfly Collection. It is two layers - a colored butterfly on the bottom with an acrylic layer on top.  They are so so pretty.  Along the right side of the card I added some green Dew Drops.  It is pretty neat that each one magnifies the little daisy in the design of the paper.

All products can be purchased from Joan's Gardens.

Selma, I love the background you created by using both of the die cuts.....very unique, much like you. The card is gorgeous. I just don't see how you can continue to create such beauty when you are in such pain.

Hope you continue to improve everyday. Prayers and love sent your way. Dianna
