Cardinal Bird Feeder

Today I have another Heartfelt Creations Cardinal for you.  Aren't these birds beautiful!  The name of this set is "Cardinal Bird Feeder Precut Set" (HCPC 3347).  Joan's Garden's has all these beautiful Heartfelt Creations Cardinal stamps in stock.

The image was stamped with black Memento ink and colored with Copic markers.  It was cut out with the largest Nestability Label Ten die.  The card is 5"x7".   A piece of designer paper was layered onto brown card stock and attached to a white card.  To decorate up the frame I cut out some Spellbinder "Floral Accents" and attached one to the top of the frame and one in each of the lower corners.  Chalk was used to color the background and add a little color to the accents.  A red poinsettia and a few snowflake stickers were added.  To give the snow/ice a realistic look on the feeder,  I added some DG3 Art Gel, kind of thick so it would mound, then added clear glitter. This is also available from Joan's Gardens.   It really looks like piled up snow on the roof.  Love this look.   On the side I added a small piece of the same design paper on the bottom and the greeting reads "Snowy thoughts of you".  It is also in this stamp set.

Hope you enjoy seeing these beautiful cardinal cards.  I wish we had red cardinals in this part of the country -- I have only seen blue jays but think they are all beautiful birds.

Selma, I'm loving what you're doing with the cardinals. I really like what you did with the corners. Being from St. Louis I'm a Cardinal fan. We do have lots of cardinals (besides the team). Thanks for all the great inspiration.

Beautiful card! I saw these birds at the Heirloom convention. I already had several cardinals so didn't get them, but got other things at her booth! You did a great job on this card!
