Spring Florals Birthday Wish

There are two posts today because the automatic scheduling did not work so please scroll down to see the other post.

Well I couldn't resist, this is another card I made for The Gina K Guest Designer Challenge.   For me, there is nothing more fun than being a guest designer for Gina, so want to submit a few cards  so I can I be considered.   The stamp set used is "Spring Florals".  I love all of Gina's stamps, but any time there is a floral set, it is definitely a "must have".  The  Spring Assortment Pure Luxury Card Stock colors  I used  are  Lovely Lavender, Creme de menthe and Lemon drop.  I found the perfect designer paper in the Kaiser Craft "Lilac Avenue Collection" pack.  The colors in the strips match Gina's new colors perfectly.

To create the frames on this card, I used the Nestability "Classic Frame".  When you cut the  frame you get two seperate pieces.  I stamped the flowers on white card stock with the bottom of the stems at the bottom of the inside frame.  This would cut off the top of the flowers.  The reason I wanted to do that was so I could cut out additional flowers to "pop-up" in the frame.  A second green frame was also cut.  The  piece with the flowers was inserted into the green frame.  Yellow chalk was used to color the background then the bottom of each flower is glued and the top portion has dimensional tape behind it and layered over the stamped flower.  This gives the flowers a nice dimension.

A MS border was added across the bottom with a piece of  Gina's yellow grosgrain ribbon tied across the center.  The frame was attached on dimensional over this border.  The verse was stamped on the inside portion of the green frame and added to the upper right corner.  I decided to add some more of the flowers  around the frames.  Two yellow flowers were cut from the same Nestability die and also added.  Small green pearls were added to complete my card.

Both cards are so cute, and I love all of the detail.

I am hoping this comment gets through to you. Because yesterday I tried to respond to another post you had, and it wouldn't post my comment...

Anyway, another beautiful creation by Selma.
