Triple Embossed Penny Black Card

First, I want to thank all of you for your congratulations on my announcement yesterday.  I appreciate hearing from all of you.  It was fun to read all your lovely comments.

Today's card has  triple embossing on  the white card stock to give the appearance of several layers.  The stamp set used is from the Penny Black "Jolly Follies" clear stamp set. I purchased this set from Joan's Gardens.   Most of the image was colored with Copic markers.  The bells were colored with a MS silver glitter marker.  I don't know if you can see the sparkle in the bells.  The image was cut out so the background would show up.

I did three embossings on the white card stock.  I followed the tutorial I did in an earlier post except before using the Nestability to frame the center, I used an oval piece of wood to get the Dotted Swiss design in the middle.  I started by using the Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder and the oval shaped wooden frame.  I then had an oval (just a wooden oval) and centered that where there was no embossing and ran the same piece through using the Dotted Swiss embossing folder.  This gave me just the Dotted Swiss design in the oval.  After doing that I used the Nestability to create the embossed scalloped border around the dotted Swiss portion.   That completed the third embossing.   I think this gave the one layer a lot of dimension.  The greeting was stamped, cut out and placed at the top of the oval.  The mouse and bells were attached with dimensional tape.  An organdy bow was added to complete the design.

Tomorrow night  the StampTV designers from all the Center Stage Spotlight Design Teams will be doing a Blog Hop featuring Christmas stamps from Gina K Designs.  Be sure to check back for lots of ideas for your Christmas cards.  See you then.
