Sun Flower Pencil Holder

Donna is hosting the Monthly 3-D Challenge on StampTV this month. The challenge is to alter a recycled package. I decided to cover an empty frosting can to create a pretty pencil holder. I used Melanie's "A Year of Flowers". I stamped the flowers on glossy card stock and used sponge daubers to color. The background piece is Chocolate Chip card stock embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. Two different Martha Stewart punches were used for the borders on top and bottom. A piece of green trim was added along the bottom. The sunflowers are put on dimensionals.

You have until the end of the month to create something for this challenge and have a chance to win any GinaK stamp set valued at $24.95 or less. Hope you will join the fun.

Selma, What a great use for recycling. When I worked with my two grandkids on a after school class, we made pencil holders out of cans, and I brought several of my older stamps for them to use. So they were very creative, and used a variety of flowers, teddy bears, and of course the boys wanted cars and sporting items.

Your design is so very pretty and nice to display on your craft desk.

Great Job.
